I've driven that trail multiple times. I think your problem is your driving technique. You seem to take your foot off of the gas too often. I believe in driving carefully but sometime when you press the gass try holding it there for a few seconds longer. I bet you will find that you will make it over far more obstacles than you think.
One of my favorite trails. You got to air down and work on experience and confidence. Picking your line is key. I'm not a huge fan of spotters, ya got to feel it.
@SoCalK5 i agree on everything except airing down i did the trail yesterday with 31" tire aired up 40 in the back and 30 in the front and i did the whole trail (Jeep cherokee 4" lift 31" baja widetrack tires in back and 31" hankook cheapes in the front) never winched once its all about the line you take and i dont have sliders or anything special just a cool front bumper lol got no damage!!
@rudedogii My buddy and I were running the trail the opposite direction. We waited to let your group pass and you busted, taking out my line. I was running open diffs and 31's and had to take the hard line down because of where you broke. I have photos of my front tire up against your back tire as I crawled past. I remember that you tore up your right rocker panel pretty good too!
That is a fun trail. Our group did it on Jun 28th. That section is alot easier if you go to the left. Well it was for me. I'm the silver JK @ 2:45. Check it out.
Did the John Bull trail on 6/22/08 in my 89 YJ. No lift. No lockers. 31 inch tires. Got hung up once in the area just before where this scene was shot. I let a Bronco pull me off only because a big group was waiting behind us. I too had a little trouble in this same area but not as much as you did. Good spotters make ALL the difference! What a great trail!!!

Those tires look like Dunlop Mud Rovers?
Good tire with thick side walls. They dont flex much even at low PSI.
