@Kavierocks, I never stated that The Alchemist (started) his career using the mpc. I know he uses it now as well as his asr... But your right about 36 Chambers. I'm not sure about the details about how it was made but it sounded shitty... but it was dope! my point was to say this, It doesn't matter now days what is used to make beats. Some cats stress about the the sounds they use and judge the next cat about how his/her sounds aint up to professional standard. Peace!
Let's be honest... Mpc,Maschine,fl studio,reason,etc... It's all about the eq process!!! Wu-Tang's 36 chambers album sounds like shit!!! (Quality speaking) and it was made on MPC. most of The Alchemist beats sound grimy and shitty. He uses MPC. Dj Kahlil uses REASON and his shit sounds DOPE!!! So I think it's up to the user...
@HOGGBEATZ "36 Chambers" was actually made on an EPS or ASR-10 (one of the two). And most of The Alchemist's early work was done on an ASR-10. I don't think he started using the MPC until the 5000. I'm not exactly sure what your point was, but the generation difference between these machines/programs (computers) are what determined the sound quality; there was no 24 or 48-bit sampling in '94, that's why the sound of Reason "sounds dope".
I've got a quick question for you. I can see half of it there on the Left side of your workstation but; What types of monitors are those you have here in this clip? They look sleek and very nice, as well as a really good size to have. They seem not so small as to degrade reference quality, but at the very same time also not massive and bulky that they consume space and get into the way. Thank you for taking the time to share your videos, and also your techniques and style with us =) Thumbs up!
what software is he using? i mean, does it has it's own sequencer or it's friendly to others and if it is does those little displays can really replace looking at Logic, Pro Tools etc.?
Yeah, NC stand up! Khrysis on MASCHINE with the heat!!!! That is BIG NI! Khrysis has done big things here in NC! Nice that you showcased him & he's using Maschine! That's what's up!
