  • BUENISIMO!!! LA MEJOR VERSION DEL TEMA. NO ME CANSO DE VERLA.

  • His steel guitarist has to be one of the best I've ever heard with only Buck Owens' Tom Brumley running with him!!!!

  • @wvredneck59 ..I'm not taking ANYTHING away from those two fine steel pickers but if you'd like to hear another GREAT steel picker, look up davepedalsteel on YouTube he's one of the best I've seen/heard and on top of that he's from THETFORD, ENGLAND.....check him out, it'll be worth your time.

  • Good music by the great Waylon. Always a favorite.

  • Sweet Music Man

  • I still miss him!

  • The one & only Waylon!!!!!!!

  • waylon did this so superb!! the hag should be proud!

  • Waylon and Moon doin it better than anybody not hag or cash or Willie or anybody else this is why these two guys are legends " eat yer heart out Haggard "

  • @waylonfan01 waylon or the hag its still a great song love both versons this is the country music that we need to get back to

  • goddamn if it aint one of the greatest performances and one of the greatest damn songs

  • The best doin his best ( eat yer heart out Haggard )

  • smoking some weed and drinking moonshine. loven it

  • It's hard to come from Denmark and Love Waylon Jennings (or Merle Haggard for that matter), because nobody knows him here. I feel lonely! So if you have a vacancy and a job for me, I'd gladly move stateside, just to meet fellow fans.

  • your the fag i h8 beiber i love the cocteau twins you fucking noob

  • Ralph Mooney on the Pedal Steel. R.I.P.

Ahhh man Waylon had a sweet voice. so good. Im sure Merle is hyped on this cover.

  • your singing let you down and your lyrics moron

  • @twins8956 well enjoy your beiber then fag

  • what a great country star waylon was, he is greatly missed but his brilliant music will always be with us

  • There was simply no gimmick. Back then guys didn't waste a million acting out of line in a music video, they didn\t endorse shit like a model and care about what they looked like, they didn't drop names of past legends left and right because it's "cool" and gives you a "reputation", they didn't sing songs about fantasy love or shit that didn't happen in their own lives, they sure as hell didn't live for top 10 radio and have a career that had a lifespan of a teenage girl's A.D.D

    They were real.

  • @CamHawesMusic011 Man you got that right!

  • @CamHawesMusic011

    well said

  • they will never be another waylon . r i p

  • This whole concert is awesome. Gotta love ole Waymore. He is greatly missed..

  • Man what a bunch back then Waylon, Johnny, George, Merle..there will never be an era where it was play from the heart and not from the wallet!

  • Mooney can play

  • Waylon kicked ass and took no prisoners. Did it his way . Drink the drink, pop the pill. snort a line, drink some wine...make a record in no time!!!....GOD Bless the great Shooter...Waylon we love ya....RIP our friend!!!

  • Ah play it moon !!

  • love this soong! ´makes me drink one more

  • I'm just hoping the bottle don't let me down tonight...

  • Waylon Jennings was a genus, eat your heart out Haggard. I love Haggard too though.

  • 9 people lick the pigshit of allahs cock (Piss be upon them)

  • the bottle let 9 people down

  • godsamn waylon and some fuckinw whsikey mix ogoddman great. yo uknow i just got dfone talin to my dad and goddamn if wyalon wasn';t played ll night boy

  • 9 people must be dumb and deaf

  • Ol hoss and moon doin it better than any other duo in the history of country music waylon up front with the best ever (ah play it moon) backin him up it just don't get any better

  • 2 bad moony and waylon sound better than moony and merle

  • Waylon is the best.... or Willie n Waylon even better...... :)

  • @750Palli I prefer just Waylon without Willie, but that's just my opinion.

  • the 8 people who disliked this are Rascal flatts fans, but what they dont know is they made the like bar look like a cigarette Waylon smoked after he plowed their groupy mom backstage and made her cry when he kicked her out for saying "i love you" hahahaha

  • He´s a great, great country boy.

  • Damn this sounds good after listening to that shit on modern "country" radio.

  • @dhuang8 I don't even listen to the damn radio no more!!!!!!

  • This song has been sung by gr8s but this song would not be complete without the "Moon" "show em the foot that made Merle Haggard a star Moon"

  • i think i might pick it back up again 'THE BOTTLE '

  • Hank III plays all sorts of diffrent shit. Metal, Hellbilly. But he definately still plays some true country. And he is definately an outlaw. He has not forgotten.

  • our daddys knew best after all

  • why does everyone need to argue? Just kick back, enjoy the song, and crack a beer

  • Waylon's songs r 2 the point

No flashy words or syllables or gimmicks

    No bullshit

and what he's singing about are the Same emotions we feel today

    Saying No is just denial

This was and still IS true country music

  • @waychphus623 I don't have a problem with Merle the quote I use is what Waylon says in the band intros at the end of one of his live shows I've listend to the "hag" once or twice I think Moon really make this song I did listen to hags version and I my opinion it doesn't even come close to Waylons but again that just my opinion I think Waylon was a better all around singer , guitarist outlaw and actor

  • The outlaw era was the greatest era of country music....country music needs more outlaws today.....Would you say toby kieth is modern day outlaw along with maybe eric Church????

  • @sofavresogood NO. the closest thing to an outlaw artist rite now is Colt Ford and thats only because he's stickin to his roots even if hes rapin country its still a HELL of alot more country then half the shit you here on "country" radio. (Plus Colt put my nickname MarlboroMan in DIrt Road Anthem so thats what up)

  • @TheMarlbororedman bullshit colt fords the least country computer artist i have ever heard the misfortune of hearing im not going to call you a dumass for your opion but come on

  • @TheMarlbororedman jamey johnson is keepin a classic outlaw sound. Listen too the last cowboy by him great song.

  • Y'all wanna know Waylon is so damm good it's cuz he's the real deal a hard livin hard workin true outlaw he lived the sh$t he sang about .the guy barely slept from 73' to 83' he was out there on the road livin it up how bout the time "they came boundin through the back door in the middle of my song and they got me for possesion of somethin that was gone long gone " there are lots of stories of Waylon doin stuff like this the best word to describe Waylon Jennings is "genuine" . Hoss we miss ya

  • Anybody else wasted?! Ahhh, Waylon. Thanks, bro. I owe you a round or two in the great upstairs.

  • but tonight your memory found me much too sober ... we love you Mr Waylon Jennings ... Brazilian fans

  • how come todays singers suck live, with the exeption of jamey johnson and with waylon its effortless

  • the fuckin MAN !

  • gram....parsons......

  • If I had to vote for the greatest country song, this one would be it.

  • Comment removed

  • That's the foot that made Merle Haggard a star

  • @waylonfan01 You seem to have some kind of problem with merle.I love Waylon just as much as the next fan but writing and performing great songs like this one is what made merle famous not moon, he was fortunate to have Hag and Hoss writing great music for him.

  • the younest, drunkest, son of a bitch to becommentin on waylon... thanks for the guidence paps

  • Pick it Moon -we miss ya

  • Listen to the moon! RIP

  • how many know this is a merle haggard song?

  • @1mrholten I'm sure ALOT knows this sound is Merle's. Both are GREAT

  • Great song, one of the best!

    Thank you for uploading.

    *****Stars

  • thanks for posting these great songs by the greatest singer ever .waylons music will live on forever

  • Beer is proof that God loves us all.

  • beer tastes much better in glass bottles

  • Rest In Peace Moon.

  • On 3-26-11 the world lost a great man and a great musician Ralph Mooney it deeply saddens me to know that we won't be able to see a man who always looked so happy and could play so well .I got an autograph from Ralph 8 months ago it is something I'll cherish for life RIP Ralph Eugene Mooney

    9-16-28 / 3-26-11

  • @waylonfan01

that doesnt have anything to do with waylon so dont post shit that no one cares about

  • The six people who dislike this song must be Taylor Swift fans.

  • RIP RALPH MOONEY, Greatest Steel player ever...Jammin with Hoss once again...

  • What can I add, Waylon comes as close to the writer of this song in performance as Charmin does to your waste disposal oriface when you're finished! !

  • In order to get this performance (audio) you gotta buy " the lost outlaw performance"

you get one audio and one vdo of ol Waylons life Waylon did this show in 78 it's a must have I got 2 Copys (amazon . com )

  • What is this off of??? Where can i get a copy??

  • six folks can kiss my ass right in the middle

  • waylon jennings a legend

  • This is PURE country music. The country music today could pass for 60's pop and rock and roll music.

  • TOOOOONNNIIIGHT THEEEE BOOTTLLEEE LEET ME DOWNNN!!!

  • classic country

  • scottmoore totally agree bro u cant hav ur own type of country wel i dont think u can ur either country or ya not n swift aint country just trash

  • I got into in agrument one time with a young female about Taylor Swift not being country, I said that she was more pop then country and she told me that Taylor Swift has her own version of country and I am thinking to myself herm own version of country and what would that be. I told her if u want to hear some real country music then listen to some Statler Brothers she told me I don't listen to them. I think that radio stations need to play more classic country. Anyways great song

  • @scottmoore30

I play classic outlaw country- Hank Sr, Jimmie Rodgers, Ernest Tubb, Waylon, Merle- along with punk and metal on my radio show. Always grew up around metal, but country has grown on me.

And to the comment down a few, Hank III and Wayne Hancock are cowboys the modern media haven't killed! Imagine the Rascal Craps as cowboys, HA!

  • A lot of people say country music ain't what it used to be. Country music has changed so much since I was a kid I am almost 30 and boy has it changed. I like a lot of the new stuff even though a lot of it does not sound country but how ever I do love that old tradtional country sound. People like Waylon Jennings,Merle Haggard, and George Jones probably would not get played on todays country radio and thats one thing that makes me mad. If not 4 the legends there would be no country music today.

  • He looks kind of like Justin Bieber.

  • @superskwrl ...really?

  • Waylon remains unmatched. Country is truly dead these days. The modern media's killed the cowboy. It's a real shame.

  • @doctorvannostrand55 i care to differ. Shooter Jennings and Hank Williams the III

  • @doctorvannostrand55 justin moore jamey johnson easton corbin josh thompson eric church but sure its dead......

  • @Hickboy1998 my good man, country cannot live, when it's raison d'etre has died. talent and passion will always live, but for different motivations. all that you claim as resurrection, is merely the echo of long fallen giants.

no need to argue, just enjoy.

  • @doctorvannostrand55 what the fuck you city slicker shut up i dont want your opinion i said the truth they are country following behing guys like waylon merle johnny and willie differnt motivations what the hell no same ass motivation

  • @doctorvannostrand55 i cannot express how much i agree

  • @doctorvannostrand55 Yeah I hear you

  • @doctorvannostrand55 "its murder on music row"

  • Respond to this video... Waylon awesome same

  • @doctorvannostrand55 Hank III is your answer

  • bottle or no bottle waylons voice is purfect to listen to with or without guitar accompyantment my ex turned me on to waylon just to name a few really good things in life rbncrts

  • Where's America? has anyone seen her since Waylon and Johnny cut out?

  • Where's America? has anyone seen her since Waylon and Johnny ut out?

  • What 5 dipshits disliked this enough to post it? I guess there's always 5 dipshits in every batch of 644. I could do the math on that one, but don't we all have one of those homos working around us at some point? Man, disliking Waylon should be a clue that you ought to head straight to the weird section and not collect 100 dollars.

  • It don't get no better than this. Sorry, I went a bit 'neck for a minute, there!

  • Listen to the Moon ,that's the great Ralph Mooney everybody - the best steel guitar player ever

You kick ass Waylon! Some of the best music and pickin' ever done.

    We miss you.

  • @lukelikesphilly Sounds like your country at heart buddy if you like this kind of music you always welcome.

  • @lukelikesphilly Concour.

  • @lukelikesphilly I am the anti liberal city slicker, but it sure is great that two opposites can agree on at least one thing!!! :) Miss the hell outta ya Waylon.

  • @lukelikesphilly Im conservative and before this i thought there was nothing we could ever agree on but i was wrong! lol well kinda, johnny cash is my fav but ole waylon is a close 2nd! lol

  • Waylon you rock! Love you

  • This is ass kickin, beer drinkin, country music..no other kind

  • Do you think that when current "country" performers hear this stuff they get bummed on how lame their sound is?

  • @lonestranger69 ...Eh, somehow i dont think the rascal flatts and others have ever heard a real country song like this.

  • @pulangdragon i hate new country especiall rascal flatts

  • @pulangdragon nopey..... our daddys knew all akong

  • @dave707 I tell you what brother you done hit the nail on the head how badass is moon ? He's still alive and pickin god bless em

  • Difference between country then and country now is heart. Back then these guys lived their music. This is their autobiography, naked, on stage in front of the world. Todays singers perform other writers songs, they don't live to sing their thoughts and feelings on stage without shame, and todays country doesn't even come close because of this.

  • "Listen to the moon"

  • Show em the foot that made Merle Haggard a star moon - ha ha ha some of moons best work eat your heart out haggard Honky Tonk Heros like Waylon and Moon

  • "Real Country"

  • god damn i know what this lyric is all about... been there way to many times.. thanks waylon for understanding

  • waylon will forever rule country music he is and still is the best ever

  • If you love good steel pickin' do yourself a favor and find "davepedalsteel" on YouTube and you'll be astonished. Dave Hartley is from Thetford, England but his soul must have been born in Nashville. I particularly like one of his newer videos...."Jambalaya"

  • just watched a documentary on the BBC caleed 'Kings of Country'.It featured the 6 greatest country singers of all time(so it says).Waylon was NOT there, how crazy, the 6 were listed in order as Hank Williams,Jim Reeves,Willie Nelson,George Jones,Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash.whilst these guys are legends in their own right,i personaly couldn't do a top 2 without mentioning Waylon

  • @ant67hony Was thinking the same, but they played the show out to a Waylon number and he was mentioned plenty... Waylon was the best of the lot in my opinion but i dont know anyone my own age who knows him... maybe its a british thing...

  • @ant672hony you're right. the fact that they put gentleman jim, even willie, on a list that don't include waylon is crazy talk

  • Still play this daily! Waylon was the great one, did every song justice. Sure wish he was still with all of us!

  • Thanks good quality, love the work.

    Thanks for clarifying old country.
