Actually, Kreteks have about twice as much nicotine and about 3 times more tar than regular cigs... I bought these a while ago and they were really good actually, the only thing that's kind of a drag, no pun intended, is that they cost a bit more than regular cigs... I don't mind every once in a while, but if you're a regular smoker don't go with these too often, you'll go bankrupt, stick with your regular stuff

I buy them online for $4.10 a pack, but what I buy are marketed as "cigars", the only difference being the homogenous tobacco-based wrap instead of rice or wood paper wrap. Do you inhale on these? Typically anything marketed as a cigar isn't meant to be inhaled. I also find the eugenol in the clove oil helps with sinus congestion.

I had the bali hai flavored ones and they're fucking ridiculous. If you like regular flavored cigs, you probably won't like these. I didn't think it was possible but these are too smooth. They make your mouth and throat feel really weird as well. It makes your mouth feel like you just ate popcorn, and gives you that wierd texture at the roof of your mouth. I definitely wouldn't recommend these unless you aren't used to regular cigs.

Plus, I didn't really care when they did it cuz the flavored ones taste like plastic and are way worse than other cigs when it comes to health because of all the chemicals they add. I think Djarums are the only ones that don't taste like plastic, and I think the only flavoring is on the filter. Which is probably why they weren't banned.

@tinyjoker666 that's not exactly true. to be a 'cigar' it has to be wrapped in rolling tobacco instead of paper. the FDA's new ban only applies to flavored cigarettes (bar menthol), and not cigars. the old Blacks were, like all cigarettes, wrapped in paper. the new ones are exactly the same *except* for the switchover from paper to rolling tobacco. think along the lines of Black and Milds. so technically they are cigars. that said, they are still wonderful smokes.

They were banned from the US so they changed them to cigars by wrapping them in tobacco leaves, so now they're legal again. In my opinion, Bali Hai's are by far the best. The taste is 100x better than any cigarette or cigar I've ever had. And the reason you're not getting a buzz is because you take tiny drags off of it. Take a long drag and inhale it and hold it for as long as you can. I guarantee if you do that a couple times you'll get a buzz like no other. Way different than cigs.
