He visto este tipo de herida en mi hermano que es policía, le dispararon de frente con bala de fusíl, la entrada era pequeña, perforó y daño parte de su pulmón y la salida de la bala causó algo muy parecido a lo que tiene el doctor, asi que para mi, esto es real!!! Además hay que mirar todos los videos respecto de este señor para darse cuenta que no miente y que es un hombre como pocos, muy, muy valiente y la humanidad se lo debe.

@nanysantacruz: Translation of above comment: I have seen this type of injury on my brother who is a policeman, shot from the front. The entrance wound was small. It perforated and damaged his lung and the exit of the bullet caused something very similar to the doctor's. So for me, this is real! In addition it is necessary to watch all the videos with respect to this gentleman to realize that he is not lying and that he is a man like few, very, very brave and humanity must listen to him.

Then again I guess he could of used a knife to cut both sides or a jagged object to get the tearing effect on the other side and cause the scars after healing. Doubt it , but I know I wouldnt be moving my body so easy as he is.

No blood ? Could have clotted and he cleaned it up afterwards before shooting the video.. Is this real.. guess only "Dr Reed" knows for sure.

Either way this whole "Series" has entertained me while at work and for that I say thanks.

Well if he shot himself wouldn't there be burn marks ( muzzle burn ) from the powder at the entrance wound from having to place the gun up against his skin or within inches of it so he would miss to much "damage"

I know If I shot my self in the should I would place the gun up againt my shirt so I could get the bullet to go exactly where i needed it to go , I dont see that evidence here.. then again Im not expert either.

I also am inclined to believe most of his story, i can't imagine one person or even a few being able to stage the Videos and contsruct an Alien creature like the one showed in his Videos and then erase his identity or hire witnesses to lie about everything and loose and his money in the bank,kill some of his Best Friends and also self inflict scars like these just to tell a lie .

I have to be honest - I have been watching this whole thing with interest and I really want to believe; but I have serious reservations about this guy! A bullet wound in the shoulder is just tooooo cliched and macho (plus - where is the bruising?). I personally know of a psychotic (not a friend, and currently serving time for attempted murder) who grievously self-harmed for attention!

PLEASE! - Anything but a (ropey) shoulder wound!

Unless he just got it the wound would no longer be bright red. In fact, it looks as if it protrudes instead of being caved in. I've too have seen a lot of serious wounds and there would be bruising. I'm afraid this looks very fake. Funny too how its just within reach over his own shoulder. Not sold.

Excuse me but in my line if work I have seen hundreds of bullet wounds and the all basically look the same, react the same and heal basically the same. There will be bruising around both the entrance wound and exit wound. You have been watching too much t.v., too many episodes of Law and Order or Greys Anatomy or whatever. Those shows are all make believe and rarely emulate the real thing.

@JoanScutter Well, since you asked (I haven't read all the comments so maybe this has been said), I know very well though my experience with special effect (SFX) guys that they could produce a wound in about ten minutes with liquid latex. It seems suspect that he can bend and move so freely given wounds though muscle are excruciating for a long time. And then there is the lack of bruising/ lack of any faint infection that so many wounds generate. I'd ask them to touch it up if it were a shoot.

But I know what I have seen. I can't force you or anyone else to take the same initiative that I have in verifying this evidence. So believe whatever you like.

Ya I doubt very seriously that anyone would shoot themselves just for the opportunity to have their lives ruined by coming out in public with a story like this one. looks like someone may have shot him but I've seen exit wounds before and for the first few weeks they are also surrounded by heavy bruising. I do not see any bruising here. There should be a bruise on both sides the size of a grapefruit. I do not see any evidence of that here.

@rpmrpms: Every wound is different. There are simply too many variables that contribute to the size, shape, color, severity, etc...of any particular gun shot wound.

@mysterymediacorp I believe that @ rpmrpms is suggesting that this injury is a forgery, not consistent with an actual bullet wound. I am not the type of person that would accuse someone of being misleading, but I do have the curiosity of a feline. And that always makes me wonder alot on certain matters,like is there any records (police and/or medical/hospital) on this incident? Any recorded witness testimony; Police,Doctor,By-stander or Friend? Is it always him by himself in all his encounters?

@ISENTRY: There are plenty of witnesses who can attest to the fact that he was shot. There are several on record saying as such on YouTube. I have seen the scars on the front and back of his shoulder...but I was not witness to the injuries prior to them being healed up.

@jaehood109: I am not a munitions or weapons expert...so I would not have any idea how to answer that question. All I know is that this man sustained a serious wound that has all the characteristics of a bullet entering the area of his collar bone and exiting out the back. The scars from this wound are still present...and I have seen them up close...so those that still want to claim this is just make-up or lipstick...I don't know what to tell you.

@jaehood109 Oh not at all...this looks super real...im sure it was painfull as hell...but i was just asking about the 45 cal...because i seen a 45 cal hollow point bullet after been shot...and the bullet shapes looks scary...meaning if that was to go through someones body it will be an ugly site...But this guy in this video is lucky, thats lots of pain!

@jaehood109 Hollow point's are really serious, they expand and create a mushroom like effect when it comes into contact with any surface, therefore, the wound is pretty fucking bad. and as for your question about the difference between 9mm and a .45 is sizes. 9mm is smaller, a .45 colt would be stronger. Either way bullets can kill you easily. From any gun.

Knight: If you haven't already, be sure to read all of the video descriptions. They might answer some of your questions. They shooting took place in 1999 somewhere in the Pacific Northwest...maybe in the Seattle area. Rutters says the encounter took place in 1996.

Ok, thank you. Something that troubles me, is the guy right or left handed, one problem is the angle of the entrance wound compared to the exit wound. The angle with the exit wound slightly toward the left and higher than the inbound, the shooter would have been on the mid to right side of him unless he quickly turned to the left. The gunshot wound could be self-inflicted. Does the guy have any hearing damage or loss in the left ear?

If you are referring to the shooter. The wound location suggests that he was right-handed.

Regarding the angle of the wound: The exit wound looks to me to be slightly to the right of the entrance wound (if you are facing him). Also I don't think it is even possible to predict what trajectory this "should" have been. It was a struggle and both of them were moving. Plus the possibility of the wrist bending in various directions further complicates trying to predict the bullet trajectory.

I don't know about any hearing loss. But do you honestly believe he would SHOOT HIMSELF just to bolster his case? Why would he need to bolster his case beyond having actual VIDEO and PHOTOS of what he saw? To me the idea of him shooting himself seems pretty far-fetched.

However, to respond to your comment, there were stints placed in the wounds to allow them to drain due to infections. That is why there were no stitches.

Regarding the size of the wounds: Have you never seen a bullet wound? They typically leave a very small hole at the entrance wound, and depending on if they strike bone and fragment or not, they can leave a fairly large exit wound. In Rutter's case, the bullet struck his collar bone and fragmented into (3) pieces. Which is why the exit wound is so large.

Perhaps you neglected to read the description of this video. I mention that he doesn't believe that the person who shot him wanted to kill him. He didn't even believe the man intended to shoot him. That was merely an accident. Instead, Rutter believed the man was probably going to abduct him - perhaps to interrogate him about what he had in his possession. So I didn't say they wanted him dead.

There'd have to be a detailed description about what the person that shot him, what they were wearing, how close they were, were they there before he had arrived, how long did they show up after he was there, etc... When he was shot was the guy standing higher above him on a hill or was the guy further down. Did the guy seem to know the creature was already on the ground or was he suprised and paniced by what he was seeing. This could describe motive for shooting.
