This commercial touched me. I'm glad I still have my dad, but I sometimes wonder what it feels like to have a grandfather...
My dad's father doesn't care about him; he never calls him nor has the interest to meet me. And my mom's father the same, expect she never met him. And they are not dead, they are still alive.
I see all these people with their grandfather everyday... I think it's beautiful to have somebody else to count on besides their dads, to get a call from a grandfather to see if ev
@GleamingMoon So sorry Gleam. I've noticed that sometimes there just isn't feelings that are supposed to be in some people. They are broken. It could change quickly. Maybe if you reach out? I wish we could fix the world but we can't. Praying helps me. Talking it over with God. Sometimes there's an answer and sometimes things work out in ways I never would have seen. You can only be a great grandpa/ma when it's your time. We can do only what we can do sometimes. Take care. Songs
Thank you all for translating. Very sweet commercial. A girl who respects and loves her dad not matter how modern the world gets. What were they advertising for? A car? :) Thanks Creation. :) Songs
This is an ad from Taiwan. Not Japan either China. Btw, the Dad was speaking Taiwan local language which means: Let's go home first. we can talk later.
Girl: Dad, this week I don't think I will be able to make come home. Yes. Yes. I busy
The strongest memories of our trips home was my father's back. Every time on the way home, we will always pass by a provision shop. I remember the taste of the ice cream there. The smell of my father's back. He always insisted on fetching me home
Later, I went to Taipei to study and only came home during the holidays He always came to pick me up (At the train station)
@KayAiAy No, that sounded Japanese, and the house looked Japanese. Cars are very rare in China, especially back then. That car was also big for China. I'm 80% positive that was a Japanese commercial.
@gyurikn OK. Now that someone has said they speak Chinese, I believe them. I guess I was wrong. It's true I have never been to China, but I can find China, Japan, Korea, and more Asian countries equal to about 10 times the average American can. I can also name every country in Europe. So don't assume stupidity.
@VhUgGz so in such case you should know that there are more than 100 millions of car in China at this moment. So sometimes there are also traffic jams with lenght more that 100 km.
@VhUgGz You are such a fool. Yes Mitsubishi is a JAPANESE car brand. But the Ad was meant for the CHINESE audience. CHINESE drive Mitsubishis too! Because I speak only English and CHINESE, it would have been impossible me to translate the script if it was in JAPANESE. (See the top 2 comments). I AM 100 % CERTAIN THE AD IS IN CHINESE. JAPANESE and CHINESE sound very different!
I don't get it!!

Father: What happened?
Girl: Nothing
Dad, I feel like coming home tmrw, No need. No need. I've bought a car
My first time driving home. I drove to the front of my village and saw my dad there waiting to pick me up
Girl: Dad, I told you not to come and pick me up. How long have you been waiting?
Dad: (Mumbles something)
I think he afraid that I've forgotten the way home
