  • Both singers are great. Christina obviously is more aggressive of a singer. I would like to hear them side-by-side on the song.

  • I think Xtina hits that last note at the end better ("inside"). Other than that, she was great.

  • Shes beautiful

  • i love china

  • i think it's better cuz a chinese song naturally would sound better sung by a chinese singer :) though i luv xtina 2

  • i have no idea what she is saying but she looks beautiful and has a beautiful voice!

  • 她是否沒有做這首歌曲分裂在2語言,英語和另? 并且它是有點兒流行音樂事?

  • awhhh shes so prettyy!!!!

  • i bet she can but she needs an english version

  • She does have an english version, but you have to find it in Chinatown. Or try and download it on Limewire. I have the english version of Coco Lee singing it in English, that is why I say she sings it better than Christina Aguilera. They even did a duo at some point, but I don't have that version. I feel Coco Lee sang better than Christina Aguilera.

  • 謝謝!:) (thanks for the info but do you know where i can look for that version? i tried youtube but can't find it)

  • i think coco lee sings better than anyone

  • i love this song. she sings it way better than christina aguilera.

  • i really disagree

  • shes a really good singer but there so many zhi ji lyrics in it >.>

  • Historically Mulan had to have been considered, UGLY! or else why would she have been rejected by the matchmaker so quickly?

  • it wasn't her looks that got her rejected, it was her unique personality. in their culture, girls who speak their mind or talk out of turn are considered not fit for marriage, or not the "right" wife type.

  • LENA PARK sang the Korean version. Geez, anything Korean-related, and people think it's BoA.

  • BoA did sing this song but it's in korean.

  • the setting for the video is sooo nice. I dont speak the language, but does it have the same meaning?

  • its as if shes mulan

  • Coco Lee is so pretty.

  • Beautiful!!!!!

  • Ummm. This is a mandarin version. Just to let you know.

Hong Kong speaks Cantonese. Totally different sound....

    .:peace:.

  • way better version

  • FFF... I always prefer the version done in the language the movie is meant to be in. ;o; If that makes sense.

    Mulan = Chinese

Beauty And The Beast = French

    Hercules = Greek

    <3

  • this version is the best

  • did you knowi read a bool that said she was taiwanese

  • It's because she's speaking Taiwanese/Mandarin -w-

    .:peace:.

  • It's Mandarin xDD

  • Pues tiene su toque en particular, pero hubieran echo un vídeo más original...

  • mas bella q cristina aguilera y lucero juntas coco lee las supera *0* yeah!

  • Beautiful. <3

  • this must be the original version because Boa kwan must copy it.

  • The original was in English...

  • I don't think BoA ever even sang Reflection...so she couldn't have copied it...

I know she sang A Whole New World (from Aladdin) with Xiah from DBSK though...

  • My girls love this version the most. it sound a lot better than xtina's version.

  • I liek her better than whoever it was that sung in english. Though the fact I think Korean and Japanese women sound beautiful when they sing does help a little.

  • pretty

  • this is so beautiful. Seems like it has more meaning than the english version.

  • Great voice but her mandarin in parts is very strange...but she grew up in the States and it's actually very good for someone who grew up speaking English

  • @mistercristofer she's from Hong Kong, but has a dual citizenship for the United States later.

  • y r the subtitles traditional chinese?

simplified is better cos 1.3 billion ppl use it lol

  • yea simplified ftw!

  • i think they should be referred to as 'traditional chinese' and 'communist chinese'

and its traditional cus we're not all brainwashed mainlanders

  • You're an idiot. Simplified Chinese originated before the Communist take over.

  • you're an idiot. simplified chinese pre-dating the prc is nothing like the set of characters from the prc now. the prc only used it so that people would not be able to read the works of real chinese before them, so all the people would follow the prc.

  • Get an education before you spew your propaganda.

90% of the simplified Chinese characters were actual simplifications already used by scholars and literate. The reason why the second round failed was because those characters were completely randomly created.

Search in Wikipedia, "Second round of simplified Chinese characters"

  • propoganda? haha i never went to schooling where they made us march around like commies. scholars and literate? there was no set standard. there were "simplifcations" from the qin dynasty, but again, many arose. they were just shorthand. and yes, search in wikipedia, you will see that many of the changes were unnatural and uncalled for, and many were politically motivated.

and yes, as they have been pushing in mainland china, traditional should be reinstated.

  • I didn't go to a school like that either, but you seem to have gone to a school where you associate anything mainland=communist=bad.

No sh*t there was no set standard. That's why the government standardized them. But the simplifications were logical and accepted by the scholarly community. On the other hand, the second set, which was poorly organized and created, was meet with complete resistance, and the government rescinded them.

  • Your argument that the communist government issued the reform to blind the people is completely flawed. Aren't people reading histories today? Can't they still understand the ancient texts? What about critics such as Lu Xun himself who pushed for the simplification and eventual abolition of Chinese characters? Even the Japanese thought that they should adopt a Roman system to better educate their people.

    Learn history before you post.

  • then why did mao back down from romanization, but kept the simplified? why were all the real chinese works, from the past, banned and burned? yeah, people are reading histories today, but mao isnt alive, now is he.

    me learn? bahahaha.

  • ^^ lovely <3

  • coco lee didnt better int his song than christina

christina sang it like she was in a rush and no pure voice parts anywhere

more like a screaming contest for her

  • what?

  • does anyone kno wher i can download this version? i tried everywhere, and i dont want the english version.

  • if you need it i have it

  • she's so pretty

  • She's perfect! Sings very well in english or cantonese and even mandarin! And her performance to this song is GREAT!

  • hmm the lyrics aren't a translated version. they are different, still its a nice song

  • i just love her so much!!! coco lee has beautiful mandarin pronounciation and so does her english pronounciation...cant find a better person who would be capable of speaking two languages and sounds so beautiful as her!!!! love her !!! way to go cocolee!~~~

  • It's really hard to sing this in Mandarin considering all of the words used, so I think she did a good job, but I still prefer Christina's version.

I didn't really like the part at 3:08. No offense to her. ):

  • yeah. I don't like those embellishments either.

  • I'm learning mandarin now ;) beautiful song

  • cool

    a very good

    *-*

  • OMG this is my fav song 2 sing, im so gonna learn the mandarin version :) after all mulan IS based on the chinese legend

  • She can sing this song soooooo pretty!

    Love it!

  • I don't like this version at all. The original mandarin version is better, imo.

  • What do you mean? This is the original mandarin version - unless you specifically mean the track from mandarin version of the movie itself.

  • the same to me.

    I like that original version.

guess it's sung by Ye Bei.

  • o.o wow. she is very very good. I thought Japanese was beautiful (and I like the language better), but CoCo rocks. She makes my soul fly. owo

  • She sings this song good in mandarin. O.O

  • Love love love is song,Coco Lee is the best.

  • I heard she didn't know how to speak Mandarin until she became a singer or something...but heck she's got a nice voice I'll say that!

  • This is from Mulan alright. The mandarin version of reflection. I personally like this better than Christina Aguilera's version.

I'm not making comparisons to either artist. Christina and Coco are both great in their own way. I'm just stating my preference. =)

  • isnt this the song off of mulan?? or am i just imaginin things??

  • hi! i was wondering if anyone can send me a mp3 or even a video file of this song..? thanks!

  • I think translation off a little. But good JOB!

  • Comment removed

  • I`m not so interested in Chinese music (rather Japanese), but this is just beautiful <3

    Sing on CoCo ^^

  • She is so pretty, and a beautiful video. Not to mention an amazing voice

  • It's really beautiful, but her voice is a tad delicate. When she had to make her voice louder for "Who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me" she just went higher and quieter.

  • uhmm japanese are not the oldest races...neither are koreans...chinese are much older. u think koreans and japanese are the best looking race? but can YOU tell the differences?

  • Let me tell you something to you, idiots:

    1. She is CHINESE, not Korean or Japanese!

    2. That is a sterotype!

Thank you for listening! (I'm Asian btw)

    Michelle xx

  • I actually thought she was Korean, because she's got some korean lines in the face..oh well, I was wrong. Thanks for saying this!

  • OMG, she is so pretty, and the video is gorgeous. I dont know mandarin at all, but Coco lee did a great Job! LUV THIS SONG! :D

  • o-o what make u think she a porn star? D<

  • that was beautiful....

    gave me goosebumps...

    YOU GO GIRL!

  • The chinese version sounds so perfect, Christina almost ruined this song. Coco Lee performed this song by her emotion, but Xtina by her singing tactics.

  • i agree with u, the spanish version is cool as well as this one, lucero sing it, i don't like the english version

  • nah it's just you acting like a steriotype...

  • does anyone know a song where she has a mullet

  • di da di

  • man she's pretty for a chinese! I Think I get inlove! hahaha

  • ohh man... you dont know how much you look like the girl I like @ my school... wow, you got the same face and eyes too.. *blows*... like wow.

  • she is adorable

  • the note at 3:08, wasnt so good

christina aguilera did that note better in my opinion. but i have nothing against coco lee.

  • she's looks pretty , cute and innocent here :> like her version and this language sounds nice :)

  • shes rily good 2 :D.

    i like krn version 2 x].

listening to all kinds of version xP

  • pretty voice, she sings in english too? wow!

  • love CoCo yes no doubt, but all her tracks made and produced in U.S are way better then chinese version. Her Chinese Producer didn't do the good job. CoCo didn't take seriously when she recored musics in china. Some parts of this songs are so ungly but they still kept its. She has a beautiful voice but kindda nananonon with this song.

  • Mandarin Chinese

  • do you mean cantonese or mandarin? xD

it's mandarin, it contains more words that starts with that "sh" sound as in cantonese, it contains more words with that starts with the "h" sound. :]

  • Yep! Mandarin has a lot more that begins with "sh" and "ch" and "zh," and only end in "n", "ng" or vowels.

Cantonese is a bit more casual sounding with words that end in all sorts of letters such as p and m and ng and vowels.

  • Mandrin sounds somehow better and cantonese is damn easy.. (IMO) But that is because I am canto =P

  • i prefer the Coco in this period of time, she's changed so much... not too fun of the recent work'exposed' too sexual...(just for me) surely a lot of people would disagree... oh well... she has beautiful voice all the same...

  • wow shes really good ! its a bit different from the english version

i know that because im chinese!

  • don't get me wrong. i like her and i think she's an amazing singer, but the chinese version doesn't seem to have the same emotional impact as the english version (or some of the other versions), and i'm chinese!

  • That was sung beautifully.

  • wow she is pretty *_*

  • video muy bueno aunque sinceramente no entiendo la letra

  • shut the fuck up dude u think u guys cAN sing veri well then go have a competition join the campus superstar luh i dun think u all even have a greater voice than coco lee fucking noob shut the fuck up!

  • okay if you could read you'd realize s/he was insulting Christina Aguilera, not CoCo Lee

  • damn coco got the fucking voice then christina ..

  • is it an american tradition to describe a good voice with "fuck" word??? -_-"

  • Beautiful...

  • The last part sounded little out of tune, but she did well[: This song is pretty difficult to sing.

  • just an opinion, not an objection. (no offend.)

  • Talents + Rich + Age are these criteria for a meaningful relationship?

(some object, others agree so let others have their opinons.)

I would say "change and divert" into another more meaningful and soulful tune, what about

"compassion, compatible and sharing each other same interests. That looks more promising and fulfilling!

  • This is my favorite version of this song. I like it better than Christina Aguilera's. It feels more heartfelt to me.

  • dam so much talent but marrying a very ugly rich white man that is looks like his fathers age,

  • I like this song, but somehow I don't like the way she sings it... and what is with the blond look? dark hair is so beautiful... nvm. don't answer.

  • agree with the dark hair but her voice is nice though :)

  • well it's not a bad voice... maybe just not my style.

  • I don't like the way she sings it either, she stretches all the sounds. Making this song sound so.. i don't know. its just weird.

  • yeah.... it's just not a kind of voice we like I guess. but some people like it.

  • I love this i have this on ipod it's so god!!

  • "Have A Great Evening", what a great melody with such a heartfelt lyrics!

    thank you.

  • Isn't she looks pretty? Looking at myself resemble a little bit of Coco Lee.

Coco is still the pure beauty with great voice. good strength Ms Lee!

  • I'm asian (chinese and viet) and I can sing along to her with the subs! YEA!!^_^

  • so? I am full Chinese, not only you know how to read the subs...O.O not to be rude but... :) Hope you dont think im mean...LOL...

  • Not all biracial knows their other language, well... I think that's what he is trying to say.

  • um pretty.. good.. native fluency

  • Ok... I am Viet and i can't understand. so what now?

  • no one said u had to know what they were syaing

  • Excuse me, but I was replying to this other person's comment...

  • it didnt seem like that, lol

  • It's because someone below me said oh they understood the song& can sing along with it. So in response , I said i can't even comprehend with what Coco is singing. So in turn reverse what they were arguing about. WHICH IS UNDERSTANDING THIS SONG. making sense now? mmk!

  • nice...

  • lol'd

  • bad ending......

just be ur self coco lee...dont have to sing like christina, just show ur asian origine voice....

  • She's beautiful! She has a gorgeus face and her singing is incredible! INSPERATiON!

  • she is great

  • i love coco...

    she rocks...

    what a wonderful voice...

    =giggles=

  • Beautiful Asia girl and her voice WoW.

  • OH dang she is good.

  • CoCo Lee <3

  • Were you born a prick or did you have to work at it?

Have another look at your comment and have a think.

  • Impulsive is the best descriptor. Besides I could be nonchalant or satirical about it. There will always be people who will react to heretical statements. You just happen to be one of them.

  • She's beautiful, as is her voice. I truly believe this is maybe the best version I've heard so far.

  • Seriously, this girl's version of Reflection should have been played in the ending credits. I don't like Christina Aguillera's version because it's too much showing off with her ridiculously long notes. I like to get to the point of the song. And it's in it's natural language which makes it more beautiful.

  • shes STRIKINGLY BEAUTIFUL , bottom line, hands down, period.

  • I love it <3

  • =D

She has a lovely voice and she's bloody beautiful! CoCo Lee is awesome. Much prefer this to the Aguilera version, but I still don't like the fact that they turned this into a pop song...

  • She's beautiful, and her voice matches her appearance.I wish they would have had this playing in the credits in the US version as an alternate ending...

  • i luv her voice!

  • Fit Lady

  • I wish Joey Yung would sing this

  • CONTINUE but XTINA,S version is better

lol i like it more cuz xtina osunds more profesinal :p... sometimes CoCo:s...(why i dont spell it Coco?...lol) singing some notes throug her nose but she got still a beautifull voice GOO CoCo LEE:)

  • How could you compare one song sung in two different languages? Just love them both.

  • what the hell does it matter if her hair is HIGHLIGHTED/DYED blond. actually its not even blond. the term i believe they use is caramel. i did not get the point of your long ass message. pointless rambling if you ask me. this is a great song, that's all that matters. p.s. you can't really paint your hair a certain color, well unless you seriously take paint and dump it on your hair

  • 爱他!!!!很美

  • Coco Lee is definetly the prettiest one

  • The coolest part about this song is that its in Chinese...and its from a chinese movie. Anyway, for all you bashers, this song is beautiful with Coco Lee singing it. Better than Christina;s version.

  • nice
