If the World has more women like her the divorce rate will be none existence. Shame most women adopt the motto 'I wouldn't change for anyone'. And that is why relationship rarely works in reality.
It's more about everyone fighting over the same set of rare traits. We're very unhealthy as a species. And so health has value. Did you know an adult male hamster has more viable sperm on average than an adult male human?
Genuine selflessness in either gender, or preferably both, would very seriously help matters generally. The ability to share, is something both genders need to learn. Impossible promises backed with guilt and fines are not the way.
@voon100 Why must only women bend and adapt? Why wouldn't men do that? Are they better than women? No, women are better. You are such an asshole for making this statement, and as such, I doubt any woman wants you. You're a failure of nature. Go hide yourself somewhere, or go and live in islamic countries where you'll find many idiots like yourself
Any activity one finds pleasurable has the potential to be addictive. It's important to own the decisions you make in life, rather than letting your actions own you. Sexuality may have originated as a physiological stimulus to reproduce, but how we each experience our sexuality varies with the individual. Everyone's needs are different. How they meet those needs is ultimately their own business. Except of course when it negatively impacts others due to conflicting needs. Communication is key.
I suppose the intention is to make the viewer feel for Picard when he has to see what is going on and is helpless to :
a) Put a stop to it
b) For he himself to resist the temptation provided by the metamorph
I thought it was interesting, if a bit depressing, but it does make you think. I don't think the metamorph as a character was interesting, it was a plot point meant to show the emotional and psychological strife felt by Picard.
It's normal, men are naturally wired to be with as many females as possible to ensure the survival of the human race.
People seem to think monogamy is "Natural" when in fact it goes against every fiber of our being.
Your take on the metamorph is very different from mine, but I suppose the character was meant, from a design point of view, to portray something different for each viewer.
The actress did a great job, she was attractive and not just because of her looks.
@Archedgar if that's the cause how do you explain that most animals do not have the same urge? humans copulate way more often than it would be necessary to ensure the survival of the species. But sex serves them just like drugs do so they do it thousands of times within just a few decades. They are worse than rabbits. To make the species survive having sex a few times in one's lifetime would be enough.
@Archedgar you and most of the others seem to be missing the point. The metamorph is exactly like most human females, the only difference being she understands herself and is up front about it where most real-world women don't understand themselves and their emotional drives and try to use their prevailing culture as justification for their conflicted behaviors. It's a joke the writer is making!

did Picard have intercourse with her? Cause that would explain the ending.

@selearemus
I don't believe so. I think she just matured too early because of being hatched ahead of schedule.
Innomen 7 months ago
@selearemus perhaps he may have, because of the the bond she had developed for him and the how weird the ending was

@otivaeey
I find myself thinking the same thing. I've had several videos pulled, so much so that I gave up making content for this service.

And etc etc. good clip.

For me the character is extremely interesting and not just sexy.
In a way she's still just as selfish as we are, she's just being bribed by dopamine differently.
But I don't like the whole "bonding" angle, monogamous ownership seems unnatural and rushed from a creative standpoint.
Its like they knew she couldn't be "perfect" to some people if she couldn't be totally owned, as if genuinely ethical slavery isn't enough.
Sharing FTW But of course I'd say that, I'm poly :)

@Archedgar "Natural" is an entirely ambiguous notion. Everyone has different personal boundaries. It all comes down to preference.

Interesting thing I just realized. It takes a profound level of trust to even ask something like this a question.
After all, how do you know it's not merely telling you what you want to hear?
If the answer sounds right you could be being duped.
Even if it sounds wrong you'd have to ask yourself, is that merely me being happier with the confirmation that incisive questions needed asking?
She's a walking paradox in many ways beyond the obvious.
