and man you are charging $ 35 for this kiddy toy ? Look like USA is really in economic crises. BTW this "new invention of yours" is already on internet free of cost and to me it looks like you just copied the coding of already existing software and painted it with some rich colors.
MAPKOBb , sorry, but you must not know too much about salsa, ......im talking about somebody that DOES NOT know how to follow a beat, ....and on top of that......BECAUSE of clave, salsa does not have a feel of straight time.....a person that can follow music well can put a "cage" around the music, but telling sombody that feels that they have ZERO ability to hear the beat........its like telling somebody that cant read to push play on a remote control
CasaSalsa is wrong because when a person is often listening to a beath he will develope a sence of rhythm. And then he will be able to dance to the rhythm and finding it in any music. All you have to do as pay attention to the beat of the song not only the words. Thanks for the prog salsatiminggonewild you've been very helpful.Keep up the good work :)
Hi dear salsatiming, I think that is better leave the explication of salsa to the teacher...the musical time is not so difficult to learn, and the person are really more satisfied when are using (playing) musical instruments, timbadoras, claves...only in this way the dancers and musicians can have knowledge of caribean and latin rhythms.
The your is great informatic idea, and you can use it for sony's video games...I think that they will do a big purchase order.
It would be great if instructors COULD teach Salsa Timing. Unfortunately, most instructors can't and don't teach this crucial aspect of Salsa. This is way most students STRUGGLE with Salsa. I agree that some people with dance backgrounds pick up timing fast, but other people don't. I'm still waiting for Sony to contact me!!!
This was a really great idea......but dont you think that it gets people to get so in their head, that when they dance, it will all just be a number? Referencing 1 in a dance is very different than on computer...we are talking about dance, which is an EMOTION, and counting in your head, which is not...maybe you could add movement excercises to make it better...but i LOVE THE IDEA,,, maybe also you could ad ACTUAL Rythms in salsa, not just embelishments.....great work
Thank you so much for your positive comments. I taught Salsa for a while and realized a lot of people had problems finding the beat. Teaching students to find the ONE is a HARD job. This is one of the things in Salsa which remains elusive to many. I believe that students who start counting, eventually will develop an understanding of the music to dance with emotion as you said. I wanted to help people out with the beginners phase which can be challenging...
@CasaSalsa It's just like musicians learning to find the one and count - pretty soon they don't have to think about it and can really get into the music...improvise if they want.
