No, the other videos were taken with my digital camera. This video was actually shot with my 3ccd miniDV camcorder. The actual raw footage looks alot better. I can't get the encoding just right to match youtubes sucky compression.

I assume they live as long as other cichlids, like 10-15 years. Apparently they are open water predators, so they need a lot of space.
