  • > to the needy sheep, and they will follow the one with "all the answers" I agree with the result of todays religion being a rip off of the very original religions and beleif systems as in the change of times will always mean a change in the fad of anything we have today or even recycling...our clothes, music, movies, cars, trends and the way we speak to each other is brought from our history and changed to be acceptable in our calender year.

  • I would agree that people lie every day, to stay out of trouble, to make someone else feel better, to avoid conflict, to keep a conversation going shit even I do it..and thats not a lie :). A broad generalisation of religion for me is, yes they take in a substantial amounts of cold hard cash and in some countries maybe they do pay taxes and give to the poor and donate back into the community, but there is always an alterior motvie behind that. show face and give love and support to the....

  • ... why do you dig into the most irrelevant tangents of the zeitgeist movement's message? The state of human lives around the world : 1 billion people starving, dying; irreversible damage to OUR environment; irreversible damage to OUR patterns of thought, created by the zeitgeist - should be your main concern. I still love you.

  • You are investigating these things in the most narrow of perspectives. Try to think about why people feel they have to lie 4 times a day. Maybe they feel the need to keep up appearances. Why do they feel that way??? What have they been taught since day one in this society?

  • You say most religions give away money before they would hoard it ? That's not true they put their money in offshore accounts and release funds to the rich to use in their realms which they in turn squander or build new buildings like schools that they then advertise as their input to society hence bringing in more capital for themselves which they then pass on back to the religious group they started it from , hence a circle of wealth.

  • How dare you question the teachings of peter joseph, you shale forever burn in the fiery lake of pasta sauce.

  • interesting, i like the material about china's anti-religious camps

But sir - i have to accuse you for taking sentences out of contex, and you seem to make a skillfull play on this to your advantage.

i have to say also that thou you say you are a hard-core academic, yet you reference 'christian god' version ( trinity ). since when academically the christian version of god is the right one ?

    nevertheless, a interesting watch.

  • @tazmaniainc As I stand accused, please let me know where I'm going astray exactly if you would. I too am fallible. I mention the Triune God because the film focuses on Jesus, the founder of Christianity, who believe in the Trinity. There was some focus on the Abrahamic view of God in the film, but not nearly as much. Later in the series there is more disussion of Egyptian gods and their religious beliefs about their deities are also taken in to account as they come up.

  • @VinnfordSansbury

you try to refuteGeorgeC. quote 'and (god) needs money', and you take this sentence literary instead of what it means - that insitutions 'need' it.

in your previous video you amusingly refute 3 statements from a buddist monk, and you play on semantics to refute 'perception of now'.

    ...

can you read this 'now' - if you cant then your refutation should be aimed at our language, not the monk.

  • @tazmaniainc Well, if thats what GeorgeC meant then it would appear that my followup was in line with his implied meaning. My implied meaning was this view of God (the whole rant) was over-simplified and childish. Actually, I think I outright said that. I don't see scientific uncertainty as semantics. Regardless, the implied meaning is this: Where some have told you that your perception is always correct, science and life in general prove only the opposite and show flaws in our perception.

  • @VinnfordSansbury Georges rant about god and religion is fairly simple to understand and possibly childish yet profoun. if it is simple and childish it is easy to understand that he does target institutions - thus so- the statement before 'the followup' is invalid.

and yes, you do 'imply' in order to gain ground. as i said, you tent to play on semantics. like with the 'now is now' refutation.

  • @tazmaniainc I believe it has the illusion of being profound. All institutions need money. I don't see why religious ones would be any different. Semantics are far more important to the way we understand our world than you may realize. The meaning of words open the doors of the mind and if the key fits in too many holes it can open too many doors at once. It may be difficult to make oneself totally understood using just the English language. Speaking English is more art than science.

  • @VinnfordSansbury it is true that religious institutions pay no taxes, and have enough donations given that they can support a nation. If the catholic church would hold the catholic values, the preist would not need golden seats and mansions with servants. In europe priest are famous for driving the best black BMW and going for holidays each year. Religion does need always a little bit more, a priest never says no to that!

  • @VinnfordSansbury

ZtheMovie does not take on Christianity particularly, but organized or established religion, and the notion of god at furthest.

and back again to urban knowledge - may people believe in a 'god like' ententy but there is not a single evidence that proves its existance, that does not mean that he existed.

this is not a scholarly approach.

x people say it is true, and y years passed - if thats how knowledge would work - then we still would think the world is flat!

  • @ VinnfordSansbury actually the Mormon and Cathlic faiths are basically cults in my opinion which have internal corrupton, they contrdict their own scritpures. Where as as least non denominational Christianity most of th time doesn't. So it would be good of you to see David Barton since he is a historian after all. And what are masons? You don't believe the stupid illuminati secret society stuff right? I can send you the playlists debunking the whole iluminati/jfk conspiracies too.

  • What's a mason? If you youtube search "David barton Is America a Christian Naton" you'd see we had a Christian founding.

  • @SDNihil1 The country was heavily populated with Christians, but many of the men who did the paperwork were Deists. America is a religiously free country. Christ is not mentioned in the Declaration of Independence by name, though many of the philosophies between Christ's teachings and the founding principles do align.

Many of the founding fathers were members of the Free Masons, a fraternal order of influential folk who mean to do just that.

  • @SDNihil1 It would seem to me that if America wanted to be a Christian nation they should compare themselves to the Vatican and then consider which nation is founded on more Christian principles.

  • and once again//quoting the bible does not prove zeitgeist wrong //it just shows us all that the man that made this clip is religious therefore his thoughts can only go so far as his religion allows //why is it that religious guys that want to dobunk zeitgeist alwayst must quote the bible>>>because they have no other source...one book and that is it//book of tails//not a book of facts///and here is one fact fore you...religious institutions in turkie and macedonia do not pay taxes

  • @deftonin Quoting the bible does however give us a clear understanding of what Christians believe and how certain parts of Zeitgeist misrepresent what real Christians believe. If he were talking about Buddhist beliefs I would have talked about the Eight-Fold Path and if he had misunderstood Muslims, the Quran, etc. Thanks for that nugget of info about taxes btw! I think you'll find that my video series uses a vast myriad of sources.

  • I must say, you are very thorough! You even commented on George Carlin's act. I think it was the directors mistake to put a comedy clip in a serious film.

While comedians are often very intelligent, they don't rely on air-tight logic or sources for their comedy.

But anyway, I'm excited to see the rest of this! Thank you for doing this!

  • @Megmanitee Thanks. Leave no stone unturned. You'll never know what you may find.

  • Love the Chrono Trigger soundtrack - you must be a fan (and a good game that also touches on this stuff too).

  • So, here is the direct quote from Tacitus (in English):

"...called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judæa, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome, where all things hideous... " Seems very much to describe Jesus here.

  • @VinnfordSansbury

Tacitus wrote statements of people who called themselves Christians, he did not see nether herd of jesus from any other source. so this proves that at his time there were christian followers.

  • @tazmaniainc Based on the effect Christianity had on the world at the time and the fact it still exists now with a detailed lineage of its own, I think its indisputable to say that Christians existed at least since 56 AD. Seeing as so much of its writings focus on one man, Jesus, I really couldn't fathom him not existing. It would seem harder to prove he did not exist on this Earth. Even the Hindus in Asia claims to have evidence of his journey to India during the missing years.

  • That would be great. I'd appreciate it.

  • Thanks. I'll look in to this. I still don't understand how Christos (The Anointed One) and Christus (based on Christos) are all that different or do not identify the Christ. It seems fairly clear cut but I suppose there may be more to it.

  • Fascinating. Please explain.

  • So you're telling me now that even though Rome attempted to CONQUER the Christians and stamp out their religion entirely that you would not support what little writings remained even 47 years after the (supposed) death of Christ but you'll believe pretty much everything Peter Joseph claims as true with almost no evidence on the basis it was post-conquered knowledge lost to time? Thats what it sounds like to me.

  • First of all, you have four official and several non-official gospels written shortly after Christ describing his existence and life in varying degrees of detail. His likeness and stories are echoed by early Christians in the underground. Paul, a former pagan, even claimed to have witnessed Christ's existence. Rome attempted to stamp out Christianity but at least one non-Christian historical account also remains of Christ's life: Tacitus, in his Annals written c. 115, mentions Christus (cont)

  • Over 50 million people have viewed the Z movie if you want to correct that on your description.

Great conversing with you. One question: Why won't you watch the video series, "Where are we going?" or "Where are we now?"

I don't see why you don't care to see change in this world. I really don't...

  • Oh, how many did I say? Its got 50 million hits. I have yet to meet one person in real life who has seen it besides myself.

I didn't say I wouldn't watch it. In fact, I've already seen part of it. I have a lot of class work on my plate and will get around to it when I have time. Don't fret.

I would love to see positive changes in this world, like people citing their sources and following the flow of information.

Miss Blazier, you make FAR TOO MANY negative presumptions about me

  • Wow, at 6:56 you call the Jizya a religious tax while the Jizya is actually a tax specifically for NON-Muslims or dhimmis which are considered 2nd class citizens.

    Jizya - Koran 9:29 = non-Muslim tax.

  • Yes, its a tax for having any other religion and a tax system that stems from a religion. I think it very fair to say thats a religious tax. Perhaps "faith-based" would be more exact? The point is, you cannot use America as the sole example for what religion is about. Thanks for the citation in the Koran!

  • @VinnfordSansbury

No, you're distorting it again. You present it as a religious tax in your video - but it's specifically a tax only for NON-Muslims. Calling it "faith-based" just proves you still don't get it.

  • Yes, its a tax on ANY other religion. Atheism included. Semantics aside, I really should have been more clear and understand where you are coming from. I'm just saying that linguistically the English language is broken. Muslims pay their own dues as it were anyways. Basically, everyone gets "taxed" under Islamic Law according to which religion they adhere to. This is my understanding. I will make this point more clear in the remake by clarifying Jizya taxes non-muslims specifically.

  • Things are not black and white. What are the good points of Zeitgeist? Any? And if so, why not propogate those points also. There is something to be learned in everything.

  • Keep watching all the episodes. We go over each point. Some ARE true and they ARE recognized as such and elaborated on.

  • dude love the series and how you use logic to put atheists and non believers in there place but 5 STARS for using money by pink floyd

your voice sounds familiar, are you the one that did that video '10 questions that an intelligent atheist must answer'

  • No I did not do that series. The series is not aimed at any religion or belief, rather it is aimed at setting the facts straight whatever they may be.

  • Comment removed

  • The Master of this world is HaSatan. You are

describing him well. His system is to enslave

mankind from the day they're born until the day

they die. The religious system of the Romans

is after his order. And so was Joseph Smith

    and many others.

The Bible is full of insights as who the god of

this world is. Satan uses the very word of God

to falsify who God really is. He takes a passage and put a question mark after it to make people doubt if what God had said

    is true. So born Zeitgeist.

  • Well, thats taking what I said way out of academic context. LOL. I get the message though. Lies beget lies upon lies.

  • I think you've been a bit too literal on the whole religion/government thing... Religion does have a massive political influence and even if the genesis of a governmental system wasn't religious, religion may have influenced and/or changed that system over time so that in effect it is the same thing.

Furthermore you've been selective rather than statistical in your 'evidence' of political systems. overall I don't think you've really answered these points satisfactorily.

  • Missionaries a good thing? Is that what you are inferring. Going to other countries and forcing (or coercing) them to adopt western/christian a good thing? The devastation of deculturalising people should be looked upon as a crime against humanity. It has never been done to benefit the people but to benefit the churches... Oh dear!!!

  • The idea that all missionaries force religion upon populations is untrue. Like all things in this world the ideal and corrupt versions of this institution both existed. I would argue the corrupt ones have no business calling themselves missionaries any longer. Forcing someone to accept a faith is clearly blasphemy. The main idea of missions is to help first, convert second. Never should that order be reversed or the mission is a failure.

  • Religious indeed always but nowadays walked along Politics, check the Ancient Civlizations: Egyptians, Jews, Islamics, Christians in Catholic Empire, Hinduism, Mayas, Aztecs, and all the rest, it is factual.

  • Religions are often hijacked by governments which by their own means have failed to otherwise win the hearts of the people. This has been going on a long time, but does not negate the faith which originally stood against injustice and hypocrasy to begin with. You should never throw out a religion just because a politician is trying to use it for their own gains. On the contrary, one should defend their faith from such abuses.

  • I didn't say throw it out, I said put it to practice by LIVING it. Thus, The Venus project. See, that's what I don't like about religion. It promotes unquestioning.

IF you're willing to throw out the old testament in lieu of a better zeitgeist, the new testament, then why not realize that knowledge is not stagnate.

Do you believe that accepting the system we have is god's will? Do you really believe that Jesus wouldn't jump on the chance to utilize knowledge to better the world?

  • I have heard you speaking about morality as outdated and misguided in some comments and then something that we need to fulfill in others. Perhaps you should clarify your message.

If you knew the first thing about Christianity you'd know Christ came to complete the Old Testament and not to throw out the entire writings of the Jewish people. You're right, Knowledge is not stagnate nor is the Word. That morality and message live through its messengers. (cont...))

  • (continued from below) Jesus did not jump on the chance. He had knowledge of all that was to come and did not reveal any new technology to mankind. He wanted to make sure that above all we had an understanding of how to conduct ourselves first before technology arose.

Some tech secrets were leaked back in the OT, such as sound waves as weapons and the battery powered Ark etc. But those were very subtle and only now in the modern age can we appreciate the science of miracles.

  • Yes, this was very literal. I think you should mean exactly what you say and say exactly what you mean.

I think you have the process backwards: Political systems hijack religions to gather a following they would otherwise lack and to mask their corruptions.

Perhaps statistics would be a nice addition. Good thinking. If you'd like to point me in the right direction I'll put some in the final cut. :)

  • No worries.most people get them mixed up.just to point out,im not .what 80 people are you talking about by the way?

  • voiceofreason467..Alan Watt and Alan Watts are 2 completely different people. Alan Watt is a conspiracy guy and Alan Watts is an eastern philosopher.check out some of his stuff it can be interesting..people often get those mixed up

  • Alan Watts the eastern philosopher, seems to think different. He states that zen buddhism is more of a philosophy where as buddhism still has a kind of "spiritual heirarchy" if that makes sense

  • This is the first I have heard of it. One might argue that Christianity is also philosophy, except for the organizational part, which is why I'm sure Buddhism is often (possibly mistakenly) viewed under the same lens.

  • Even unreligious people use money. If you don't want to use money just start growing your own food and see how far you get trading and asking for what you need. Simple as that. :)

  • thats the point moron we need a better system so youre telling me someone who dosent get youre opertunities should just suck it up fuck off everyones life different weve all grown different but were also very cut off from lerning and from each other u live in an apartment maybe maybe not but if not why dont u ask any resident there if a there happy being broke and b how many neighbors do they even know the proposal has flaws yes but its the idea of peace and haveing more time for family

  • Wow, with a prejudiced and standoffish attitude like no wonder you feel cut off. Perhaps you should ask someone about their life before making such bold accusations.

  • Comment removed

  • You do not seem very open to me actually since you have formed two prejudgements against me already: I'm rich and religious. I do not think I can honestly call myself either. Your friends are definately not religous as they are talking smack and lying and treating others like dirt as you said. I think its very hard to BE religious and stick around in the States when there is so much persecution and death in poorer nations.

  • actually im very open but strong opioned lol actually i dont think there talking smack i just think there going abought the religious part the wrong way and i have been trying to reach them to dicuss this i only joined 3 days ago but have had everyday doing research and have lerned alot but i have questions and answer i think would help them better explain why people are being defencive to what there say could they be lying maybe maybe not i dunno but i do know the idea is pure

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, humans are full of fail. History has shown this. Many things were done in the name of religion, in the name of freedom and in the name of love that had nothing to do with the ideal they claimed to defend. Is real love, real freedom or real faith any less diminished where it exists in purer forms because of this? Will you ever be truly happy because a million sad people claim they are? Can someone ever be faithful in spite of millions of posers?

  • i couldnt agree more on that subject and if there bullshittin ill gladly take there place and do it for real i want that world as do many others and yes i totally agree they should be taking the people in that country that are already ready and doing it on a global scale and have them sondtruct the dawn thing but u gota remeber too people are lazy some might build but others will waite for the dirty work to be done is that fair

  • If you want a fair world that rewards the motivated and punishes the lazy you should rethink what you are about to support. In a VP world everyone benefits weather or not they contribute. In our world, people who strive hard or get lucky benefit and lazy people suffer, but not equally. I think I'd rather have some better balance that we haven't seen yet. Something with compassion and justice together.

  • thats not what i ment youre saying it out of context i said that the way i said cause what happens if we build it and you get jelious then u start war well duu we all die in order for it to work the people who are ready should be able to go and do it and not be bothered if you change youre mind and want to come aboard then by all means people will always be lazy but there will be so many things to do and see i dought even the laziest person would be lazy for long but u should help too

  • Sorry. I get lost sometimes when you neglect to use periods and commas Mr. e. e. cummings. lol

Don't worry. I never start wars. I would much rather end them.

So if VP works why would anyone go to war with VP-land? They could just come in, get what they need and leave. Nobody enforces anything to stop them. Its not illegal, nothing is illegal. There are no cops and no military. I would assume that means a well armed citizenry for people who want to defend what they've built.

  • u do realize that if people decide to do it they wont be in the what is now norm society but if enough people stopped working the norm and starting actually making the change the people who put their boot on you will crash

  • I think that is how communism started. It was great in theory, but history shows us that unless you are willing to defend purity it will degrade.

  • and no i dont think thats the case plenty of good people bust there balls and still have nothing they deserve the chance to have everything else all those rich snots do instead of carrying their ass on our backs

  • You're absolutely right. They are the unlucky ones who get duped and conned and such in to losing their imaginary money. If there was more justice and fairness in the system maybe it would be different until someone figured out a new way to cheat the system. Those scoundrels use the details others think are unimportant to hack society for their benefit.

  • k i added u finally lol just gota figure out how to use it now

  • well i think when they elaborate on the reducation part they mean that people would have a full understanding of the system and knowledge to minimize that exact effect as for wars thats easy the rich arent gona be happy that their little bitches left and took a stand they do have weapons and alot of them they would try to force people back and scare them

  • Did you mean to say reduction or re-education?

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! You're typing this on your PHONE!? Impressive. So, who decides jobs in this new Metropolis? Who will be the workers and who will be the managers?

  • Comment removed

  • Right, but who is going to build those automated systems? And who is going to keep them running? Is technology at such a high point that its going to do all of this without human hands? Is the Venus Project going to show us what they do with their finances? Will members vote on issues? I think the main idea has merit but several details have to be worked out.

  • hey add me on msn so we can shoot the shit

  • for real just typing in here really sucks

  • and i totaly agree they need to pay the reason i want vp to suceed is obvious the world need this but i want to be sure its not at the cost of 9/10s of the world population do they deserve to die for someone elses ideals no and thats the part i want to be sure of before i support it thats why im asking things people are afraid to ask and they also dont seem to care they really should jacque says if you dont know ask well i am

  • Ask to see his financial records from his donations. I'd like to know if he's willing to share that. ;-)

  • ya no kidding for some weird reason he never answers my emails ive sent many and no responces from either alex or jacque and by the way forced vacine commin youre way if youre alergic to alumin base or antifreeze or mercury be careful it will kill you

  • You'd be surprised what you can live through.

  • no seriously im deadly alergic i really cant have it and my dads the same way if they put that shit in my kid ill fucking kill who ever trys to i almost died the last time they insisted and lost part of my hearing so they touch me or my family and i will consider it a threat to my and my familys life and will defend to every extent

  • Wow, that DOES sound serious. How long were you hostpitalized?

  • which time the first one i lost my hearing and took me 6 months to recover nearly die like 14 times too soo many drugs to keep me alive the second time i got a booster and they forced me i told them i was alergic got hospitilized for 3 months again massive pain throught my body barly remeber it now but so many drugs and the pain came right through if they so much as come near me with that shit i swear ill be like a cougar in a corner hording its meat

  • And what about dealing with people who are already abusing the system? Why are people so focused on VP that they have forgotten about the folks who plotted 9/11? Should we be equally determined in seeking to oust those people from their positions or are you going to let them get away with murder so long as you get your automated toaster making factories and fast hover-trains and are left alone?

  • you guys all have something to say abought religion well here if everyones fucking god is so dawm great and talt you all such values why the hell would you spit on a good ideal no its not perfect yes i think it has issues no i dont think youre beliefs should be poped like a baloon but you boners dont have an open mind to lern a dawm thing new either theres one thing all religions have in common and thats youre supposed to love one another regardless the differences of one another as well

  • Well Mr. Sunshine, I'd like to ask if you are talking to the producers of this film or the commenters because I don't believe we'd spit upon the whole ideas of the films so much as pointed out the parts that are solid and the parts that aren't.

  • actually im talking to you im sure youre extremly religious as it shows in youre film you do base facts but you neglect that thats you opion and you probably have a cofortable life the inevitable fact is that were killing where we live we take we dont give back and the little we do isnt enough we lie cheat steal because of monie jack ass it give insentive to screw one another over for more power what corruption is there if that dosent exist and were all equal as you gods teach to be

  • Well, I am definately not one of these "gods" as you say. I rarely step inside a place of worship, I work hard 5-6 days a week and I am $90K in debt living a space about 8 x 10 feet. I would hardly call this a comfortable life style. I'd like to know which relgion you think I am since you seem to think it shows so well. I am of the practice of giving glory to Truth and this series is my way of giving back.

  • Speaking as someone who HAS free medical and dental I will tell you that unless everyone in the world is predispositioned to live as one hive-mind, you will never get something (good) for nothing. Even the Venus Project demands donations of fiat currency to reach their goals. Your utopia is already turning to Capitalism before its even started. I would love to live in a Heavenly world, but Earth is far from it. I would rather pay more money for GOOD medical care and I do, frequently.

  • had to delete a few to get this to post ya sure its a problem for them turning to monie but u gota remember too thats where were living right now and thats why i want to talk to them directly and dicuss those issues but u gota remember to they cant start with fresh air either a dream only becomes reality if you build it so people have to either get a government to give the land and resources to build it or monie to buy out the government so they cant stop them

  • Why not start with fresh air? They claim to have 300,000 followers. Surely thats enough people to start building a factory or a green-house at least. If you can make a brick you can make a million bricks. I worry that these people might be secretly scamming people out of money is all. I think its wise to be cautious.

  • Sounds like the Chinese are on the right track religiously speaking. When will we evolve beyond the crazy God worshiping and the exploitation of religion and the various "bibles" as a tool to gain power, control and wealth by manipulating the weak and fearful into "faith" based conformity. It's obsolete in all ways aside from the shockingly affective tool I just mentioned. Are you trying to influence people for the dubious reasons listed above,if not, present one shred of proof that God exists.

  • Nobody should be treated so horribly simply because they see the world differently from you. If religion was such an effective tool of control the communist party would have jumped on it. In a way they have by replacing a lot of religious practice with partriot endevours. Am I trying to employ religion for the dubious purposes of control and conformity? Certainly not. That would be like suffocating someone to death with a cuddly teddy bear. Perverse, abusive and wrong.

  • I was asking.I'm not condoning communism at all.I was prodding (rather recklessly upon re-reading my poorly worded comment) for insight into the truth behind the "truth". I am not against, despite what my comments may lead you to believe, against anyone's religious beliefs and think it's good thing that some find comfort in faith. I'm against manipulation and intolerance displayed by so many religious folks for an alternate philosophy, and use their tactics(hypocritically perhaps) to spark debate

  • I did not make this series to have a debate so much as to sift out the fiction and focus on facts. If you want to debate something go ahead, speak your mind and see if I disagree with you.

  • How can you debate a negative? (God)

    Just wondering...

  • The annotations for this episode are finally done! Thanks to all who commented on the first video. A lot of you are getting ancy to get straight to the facts so I'm going to use Episode 3 to bring you down the rabbit hole as requested.
