If you were up in the affordable seats the sound was horrible. The stadium is just too damn big to accurately produce music. There is a horrible echo 3rd level and up. The sound on the floor was fine.

I agree. I worked security for the concert. the people on the third level were bitching about the echo on the radio. And the acoustics for floor level were fixed by the time Blake Shelton hit "Some Beach" from what I noticed. I was on the floor. HOWEVER, I want to exend an apology to all those who were at the concert. The air did go out, and thats why we were sweating like a whore in church.

That's odd because I never felt hot at all during the entire time I was there (5:00 until the end.) One thing I will say about that stadium - the staff was very friendly and helpful. From the guy selling me my $8.50 chicken strips, $8 beer and $8 dollar drink all the way to the lady that helped us find our seats on the roof.

I was in section 414 when I recorded this video. I noticed a bad echo early on with Lee Ann, but didn't notice anything with George. But then again, I was probably having such a good time that I wasn't paying attention! :)

You can't have a concert in an indoor football stadium without sound deadening(sp) curtains. The Superdome in New Orleans had to install them and maybe the new Cowboys stadium hasn't installed them yet. The sound was good up front on the floor but aw we walked to the back to get drinks the echo was just .. canyon sound. Not much they can do about it but add those curtains.

I don't know if this would be those curtains but for the Paul McCartney and the Star Wars in concert, the 4th level was not used and they hung huge black curtains so that you couldn't see the empty seats... it was better sound.

The sound wasn't that great for when Lee Ann Womack was performing, but they seemed to have it worked out by the time that Reba sang, and I had no problem understanding George. Of course, I know every word to every song he sings, so I probably wouldn't have noticed if the acoustics were bad when he sang. :-)

What I heard from the crowds that attended last night were right...the sound acoustics in the stadium are horrible. People said they could barely understand George Strait when he sang. Maybe Cowboys Stadium should just stick to sports venues and ease up on concerts.
