I don't split lanes on the streets ,the chances of a pedestrian popping out behind a car is too big , add, the chances of someone opening a door (I have seen people drop off passengers in the middle of a light stop) or someone sticking their arm out are about 300% bigger on the street than on a freeway , in the freeway I say go for it and just stare at the tires carefully as long as the cars are not moving faster than 20 mph ...been doing it for 6 months on my 250 for over 8000 miles np..
I actually agree, if you split lanes at a low speed, it can actually be safer. If an idiot is tail gaiting the shit out of me, I will just split lanes to get away from the guy before he rear ends me. Splitting lanes at high speeds is squidly, and super dangerous.

Here in Belgium there's a rule coming this september for bikers that says it's legal to do this if you do it on the 2 lanes at the left side of the road and if the speed isn't higher than 50kph (+ the speed difference between you and the cars shoudn't be higher than 20, but who's gonna check that?).

@mrJLH1000- ninja 250s are known for holding their value well and it'll be even more of a waste of money if you get a more expensive bike and wreck it because it's less forgiving. I recommend getting a 250 and upgrading after you learn and get bored of it
@91ibanez u have some point there. but i know a girl who ride a 2009 honda cbr1000rr for her first bike and she is doin good. it doesn't matter how big ur engine is. riding a 50cc scooter or 1400cc sportbike. motorcycle is always dangerous. safety is always on the hand of the rider. if ur reckless rider ur prone for accident and if ur a careful rider ur in a safer side. but like i said riding a motorcycle is always dangerous no matter what.

@MrJLH1000 I don't know man...i don't want to budge in on the other comment, but on the straight road you'' be fine even on a zx-10r if you can hang on. The thing is cornering, it is why most reccomend the 250 because if you by accident slip the throttle abit you can fuck up very bad. And not because your a noob or what but because your not used to it.
@MrJLH1000 My first bike was a 08 ZX6R, laid it down once the same day I got it because of a scary moment involving a teen driver backing out of her driveway without looking and me panicking and grabbing the front brake lever instead of hitting the rear and front brakes, locked the front wheel and went down hard but at a slow speed so only some fairing damage and a broken clutch lever. Since then its been smooth sailing once I got over the fear of cornering.

it's violet purple it;s the highest hid we have here on guam and i barely see people with it i used to have 6k's but i traded headlights with my friend.honestly i wish i had cold weather for a day or two !

Yup a lot of filipino people i have mostly filipino friends that are cool as heck !
we went kind of around the island today with our cars took some vids and pics hopefully i'll post them up soon.my headlights are really bad cause i gave my friend hid's and we traded headlights omg i cant see at night now so im gonna buy 12k hid's later today nope there was no rain today ! really good weather !
