Tier is a set armor you do raids for, such as sunwell for tier 6, molten core for tier one, onyixas lair for tier 2 and so on and so on.

Tier Sets are sets of armor aquired by raiding. These sets are kind of fking powerful =D Tier 7 is currently the highest with tier 8 coming up, and I think that will be one of your main goals if you play WoW =P

Arena season 3, as always, a recolor of a raiding tier, because Blizz apparently isn't creative enough to create new ones. The only new modeled gear is S4, and I believe there are similar sets in the Sunwell Instance.
