Stevie Ray lives in Jesse Davey´ and Scott´ solos. God Bless them love for SRV. Besides that, any guitarplayer who started to play in the late 80´s or 90´s were overwhelmed and astonished by Stevie Ray, if they had any brain at all. I love Stevie´s music and I can recognize the honestity of Jesse Davey musicianship and make me feel familiar to him and Hoax music just because the anchor his tone has on Stevie. I love them.

Just to have anyone watch a video like this and say "holy shit that sounds like stevie" goes to say how much of an innovator Stevie Ray was. Whoever said the bullshit below about plugging a strat into any tube amp and you have SRV is fuked in the head. That's an insult to SRV and his legacy.

Strats into tube amps have stevie-ish tone. it's just the nature of the guitar. play blues with that setup and you're likely to be compared to Steve and hendrix every fucking time, no doubt, no matter how much you suck. Scott and Jessie can play VERY well and I know Scott plays much more than "SRV" licks in his real gig.

It's pretty obvius that they are into SRV, because anyone who is into him can recognise his lick's and phrasing, specially in Jesse's playing, which solo seems to be inspired on SRV's "So Excited", but I love it, because I love that Texas Strat sound. And thank God (let's say Hendrix) there are young people playing blues and not only pop or rock stuff.
