@F12Y14N25 Comedy Central is A COMEDY CHANNEL they never claim to not be biased and they are not SUPPOSED to be objective. They do comedy. Because most people are too stupid to depict between satire and actual news, they think The Daily Show is REAL news. It isn't. Even Jon Steward says it isn't. When he was on Crossfire and pointed out that they were trying to compare their show to a comedy show he tore them apart and shut down the show entirely.

"better than comedy central", given the context, seemed to imply that they are biased, but not as much as comedy central. Hence the original, albeit now cleared up, confusion. I would recommend if you haven't seen it to find the episode on youtube of Jon Stewart on crossfire, it is pretty much amazing.

As a former Democrat, I have to say no network is perfect but the Fox News Channel is 100% more fair than any other network out there. Fox News having more more viewers than other news outlets is not proof that it is not biased. Many, including me, believe Fox News gets so many viewers because they are the primary news source to conservatives. However, liberal viewers are split between the multiple liberally biased news outlets (CNN, MSNBC). All news outlets, at least all the ones I have seen, appear to be at least slightly biased.
Fox News:Most watched cable news network on television. More viewers than every other network combined. O'Reilly regularly beats the CBS evening news and Becks show ALONE beats everything MSNBC has combined. Yes yes, so biased arent they? @webmaster2089 Once again your wrong, there were only three states in the south at the time just after the revolution that had slavery and the Founders gave them 20 years to get rid of it. Otherwise they couldnt be part of the U.S. Any new territory couldnt become a state if they wanted slavery. It wasnt until the 1850s that they started repealing these laws and making it legal again. By the democrats. Texas had the first black state legislature. Conservatives in history never wanted slavery.

As time went on, the Civil War happened, slavery then became something that had to be eliminated for good. Fox News having more more viewers than other news outlets is not proof that it is not biased. Many, including me, believe Fox News gets so many viewers because they are the primary news source to conservatives. However, liberal viewers are split between the multiple liberally biased news outlets (CNN, MSNBC). All news outlets, at least all the ones I have seen, appear to be at least slightly biased.

Remember, the only people in history holding federal office to reinstate segregation and deny blacks were liberals. Woodrow Wilson just to name one. He re segregated CONGRESS for God's sake. No Conservative has ever done such things. Conservatives have NEVER believed in segregation. Liberals have been given credit for civil rights. Its not true. Please educate yourself before you debate.

@RestoreAmerica76 it doesn't read: make no law establishing a religion. it reads: make no law RESPECTING an establishment of religion. that means dealing with any establishment of religion in any way. furthermore, jefferson wrote that there is "a wall of separation between church and state" and he wrote the damn thing. so don't tell me i don't know why things were put in there.

So using your logic of what the Founders meant, a president cant believe any religion because the Founders said there couldnt be religion in government? Wrong. And your telling me to go to somewhere else and why we have the first amendment? HA HA HA! The Founders never said religion couldnt be associated with government. They only said we couldnt have a national religion.

@RestoreAmerica76 more importantly though, that's the only meaningful way it could exist in the constitution. if we let government make any decisions on what religion is better than another, or even that religion is better than atheism, there goes religious freedom. i guess someone in the "privileged" place of christian in america wouldn't understand that when you've been in the majority for so long, but visit somewhere like saudi arabia and you'll see why we have the first amendment.

@RestoreAmerica76 conservatives have ALWAYS been the ones supporting slavery and segregation. the more conservative south was supportive of slavery because it helped their agricultural economy.
later, the democrats were the ones pushing for more restrictive jim crow laws, and if you know anything about that time period you'll know that the democrats used to be the conservative party.
finally, abe lincoln abolished slavery and while he was a republican, he was in the liberal party back then.

@webmaster2089 Once again your wrong, there were only three states in the south at the time just after the revolution that had slavery and the Founders gave them 20 years to get rid of it. Otherwise they couldnt be part of the U.S. Any new territory couldnt become a state if they wanted slavery. It wasnt until the 1850s that they started repealing these laws and making it legal again. By the democrats. Texas had the first black state legislature. Conservatives in history never wanted slavery.

@webmaster2089 Most people nationwide wanted slavery gone. But when laws restricting it are repealed, the people who did own slaves are going to again. As time went on, the Civil War happened, slavery then became something that had to be eliminated for good. Lincoln was much more conservative than liberal, thats why it baffles me that Lincoln is one of Obamas favorite presidents. Lincoln would never approve of the things happening now.

@webmaster2089 Lincoln was very liberal on somethings but the old adage is that Lincoln would have had to have been a liberal because he wanted slavery gone. Its just not true. Many many conservatives wanted slavery gone. I agree, the parties and affiliations were different then, but core values havent changed. Im talking core values here. Slavery was something that more people DIDNT DO than DID. Dont think there werent slaves in the north. There were.

@RestoreAmerica76 you said yourself, the democrats, who were the conservative party. you can believe what you want about lincoln, but he was part of the liberal party, that's just a fact. and i never said slavery wasn't in the north. all i said was it was more common for a conservative to be a slave owner or a racist during those periods.
you can try to whitewash the history of conservatism all you want but it has always been an agent of backwardness and intolerance, just as it is now.
