Strange isn't it? Because only one of the classic Thin Lizzy line-up was Irish (Downey). Lynott was born in Manchester, Robertson's was from Glasgow and Gorham was American.

Ditto U2 - only Bono and Larry are Irish, both Edge is from Essex and Adam's from Oxford.

The Beatles (all from Liverpool) were more Irish than Lizzy and U2 put together.

and how did you come up with that? phils mam was from ireland and he grew up here and oh by the way the original thin lizzy was a 4 piece which had phil lynott on bass , brian downey on drums,eric bell on guitar ,eric ricson on keys.. then ricson left and the 3 piece lizzy ALL IRISH had such hits as whiskey in the jar .. vagabonds, mamma nature said, and look what the wind just blew in .. and gary moore also played a major part later i bet your just a greatest hits owning no nothing ass hole!!
