I use pcs, linux computers and macs, and to tell the truth, I think macs are amazingly awesome, its my opinion, but for gods sakes, its a freaking computer who the heck cares which computer you get, its all about personal choice. What kind of world do we live in. Pc people get really irritated easily.
PC comes in all kinds of different styles thats a nice thing but mac i can do everything and anything man i so glad i made the decision to switch to mac and i have boot camp so if i cant get something on my mac i can switch to windows and get it there. the difference is my mac great quality machinery can handle anything so i don't have to worry about my computer starting over or freezing up or pop up notice every 2 seconds so ha never go back to regular PC again YEA.
Very, very wrong. Kernel panics and BSODs are equal among both OS's, so you're not inherently safer there. You may be able to run the same programs on a Mac thanks to bootcamp, but you're overpaying by $700-$1000 dollars and you won't come close to matching the sheer performance of a cheaper PC. So why pay so much more? Freezing issues are your fault, not the OS. I've seen people brick OS's by being foolish all the time.
So for all that money, you have a system with practically no security, making you the most vulnerable to rootkits, keystroke loggers, and macroviruses.....plus your hardware is already outdated thanks to Apple price-gouging you for meager RAM and cheap, mobile-based video cards. Meanwhile, they'll try to tell you that OpenCL is the future....despite CUDA beating it to the punch years ago (and performing far better).

Mac can run all the functions of a pc, has face recognition technology, is compatible with most devices. a pc can run microsoft office, word and powerpoint. we can see who is better
@wikkids PC's have both facial and fingerprint recognition tech, & have had it for a while now, actually. PC's are compatible with ALL devices, have more hardware options, have more personal configuration options, have drivers for more devices than Macs, cost less and can outperform higher priced Macs....
All it would take is a company like Dell or HP to bundle some good software with Windows... but none of the big companies seem to have the idea to do that without making free software trials or shite.

@ProfessionalGam3rz I have an iMac which is 21.5" inches and I'm pretty pleased with it. It's fast and the screen is great. I can see why people slag Apple off for having such overpriced things but really, Windows just uses the exact same things in each new addition to their software. Apple innovates and gives you completely new features :P

@placebo4yo I never updated my 64 bit vista since 2010, and all the media creators that come with mac are slightly better if not the same as what comes with windows, you are are a serious media creator, then you are using sony vegas or AE wich are availible on windows, macs are better for that though.

@ProfessionalGam3rz It may not be "official", but it is legal... Apple has tried to sue a couple people for doing this, but the courts decided that since they bought it, they can do what they want, i.e. put it on a "normal" PC.

I have both a mac and pc, so I do have a valid point in this. I don't particularly think one is better than the other, they both have pros and cons. I could have bought a pc for music production, but I bought my macbook because I found one cheap second-hand. I didn't particularly buy one because apple stuff is better per se, but I do like the practicality of the interface. However, for everything other than music production I use my pc.
Sure, get a mac, then ask yourself "Why do i need games, or fun? when everything i need is pre-approved by apple? so i can just sit down, suck my thumb, and watch some movies(That are pre_approved by apple and non third party in any way).

@RCCOLA2424 The problem: No big companies support Linux, since they'll get nothing from it. If you wanna play a game supported by windows for example you need to either write some code by yourself to make the game work or wait till someone else develops a Linux port for the game.

2: That's not true at all. My newest windows desktop arrived with nothing on it but windows, no trial software whatsoever. The same goes for any windows PC i've ever bought.
As for my mac, i can honestly say i haven't used half the applications that came pre-installed on it. Ever. This includes, but isn't limited to: spaces, time machine, photo booth, iphoto, etc.
@tony8999 Adobe Master suite is on Mac. But, I should have added this before. iLife is very easy to use and Adobe is a professional program that takes quite a bit of time to get the hang of. Not insulting Adobe programs or anything, just saying it takes practise.

Anti-viruses is a waste of time, they use a lot of ram, they always come in the way saying "are you sure you want to alalalalalala" and they are not free and you have update them and shit. With my MBP I don't have to worry about that anymore. Mac is better because if you really need to use windows you can use boot camp, which I do sometimes and it works perfect.

I can see why people slag Apple off for having such overpriced things but really, Windows just uses the exact same things in each new addition to their software. I have both a mac and pc, so I do have a valid point in this. I don't particularly think one is better than the other, they both have pros and cons. I could have bought a pc for music production, but I bought my macbook because I found one cheap second-hand. I didn't particularly buy one because apple stuff is better per se, but I do like the practicality of the interface. However, for everything other than music production I use my pc.

2: That's not true at all. My newest windows desktop arrived with nothing on it but windows, no trial software whatsoever. The same goes for any windows PC i've ever bought.
As for my mac, i can honestly say i haven't used half the applications that came pre-installed on it. Ever. This includes, but isn't limited to: spaces, time machine, photo booth, iphoto, etc.

Anti-viruses is a waste of time, they use a lot of ram, they always come in the way saying "are you sure you want to alalalalalala" and they are not free and you have update them and shit. With my MBP I don't have to worry about that anymore. Mac is better because if you really need to use windows you can use boot camp, which I do sometimes and it works perfect.
