Actually, I'm 39, while that is older it's far from ancient. Between us there's a 22yr old, so it's not that old. lol Wait till you get here. As for your music:
'The words I never said, let's the love bring the change,
So I can drop the bomb on em, for another day." ;) That's called Due Diligence. Always do your homework mang.
My greatest overall influence to how I rap now is Rakim. The God Emcee. If you don't know, now you know.
Your flow is good, just needs some ironing of useless words.
its actual your state of mind. if ur mentality or your brain pattern of thinking receives the information (sound of track) as a positive or negative sound than your expression is the same result. the truth is you have no right to say whether or not this track is good or bad as judging is only for God. The thing you have to do is learn the track, all the sounds and what causes the sounds, basically everything in the track, snare, orchestra etc. that way you have APPRECIATION for the track and God
@sylas61 hes not fucking trying to convert you or some shit, calm down. religion is logical as science anyway, if you believe that something very small exploded and is still growing today and that a monkey somehow turned into us like some fucking pokemon, then ok. i want to believe an invisible man in the sky can grant wishes, then, as you would say.
#2 Science and religion is completely the opposite of each other. Can religion explain what we are, and how we became to be human? YES IT CAN (obama reference).
Religion is for the people who simply don't want to see the world as it is.
The future has no place for mumbojumbo. Even thinking about that is a disgrace for humanity.
And please know the evolution theory has been proven, so is the expansion of the universe.
@sylas61 evolution theory has not been proven if it is still considered a "theory," and that's irrelevant right now, because that shows how WE came to be, not existence, which is the purpose of religion. the big bang shows that something exploded out of nowhere, Christianity shows that God created everything in "7 days", though I don't believe it was 7 of our days..
Plus, I could be wrong. Religion could just be a metaphor, heaven might be a good life and a legacy left. Hell could be a bad life.
Jesus Christ, you are completely over anaylizing everything. You sound like a complete moron who is only trying to sound smart. You are telling people that God, who doesn't even exist, is the only one who can be the judge on an obscure rap instrumental on YouTube. You people are so trivial it amazes me. People, people, people... When will some humans think before they speak such nonsense? I, one of the last intellectual left, am surrounded by borderline down syndrome cases
@hobahfish Everything you just said is nonsense. Music is completely subjective and people have the right to say it sucks if it sucks. It's how the producer of the track gets better. If everyone tries to play nice and pretend like it's hot then he/she will never seek improvement. God has nothing to do with the judging of other people's music. If it's on Youtube especially, the uploader should expect it to be judged harshly. BTW, "The MC" is a song by KRS one; this beat is terrible.
Tracks don't make the M.C. hot. NO No no. It's up to the M.C./Artist to make the track HOT! When you understand this to the fullest degree you'll see its 360.
@bigeers11 I believe you misunderstand the CONTEXT of what I mean. Q. What's a track? A. A musical body without soul, right? Q. Where does a track get soul & become a song or even a hit? All answers are one and the same: From the living, breathing, artist. Jay Z has lyrics. No matter how you feel about them. Bottom line; can he bring the track to life regardless of his lyrics? This why & how we get the Jay Z's & others in the game. They know how to make tracks hot regardless of lyrics.
Fair enough. My definition precludes that a track is given life endowed by its creator across the board. However, in regards to Hip Hop specifically, a track alone has no soul as a Hip Hop track does in fact rely on it's artist (Emcee, MC, or Rapper) to recieve that essence that makes it a song, hit, or a classic. In short, a Rap track is NOT a Hip Hop track until an artist lays words to it. Hip Hop is the ONLY music form that could NOT survive without the words.
@mitglas I been rappin for over 25 and I'm letting you know that while Dj Premier IS good, his beats won't do shit for a lyrical idiot.
At least, nothing long term.
It's not the beat OR the emcee that makes a track a hot.
That lies in the combination of the two. Take a DJ Premier track and give to a famous rapper who got some skill and it'll be an instant hit, for a while, but give it to an unknown emcee or famous one that truly connects his words to the track and you just made a classic.
@sherron346 It just needs someone with the right vision. Suppose you actually liked it to rap or sing on.
What's missing? Not much really & nothing that you couldn't add yourself to enhance it in some way for the vision in your head, right? The basics are in place. All that's missing is an inspired Emcee with the right seasonings. Then it could be hot or even just with the right concept. We all have our tastes & believe it or not this is perfect for someone.
@sherron346 I just read all my old posts. I don't see that I said that anywhere. I seem to be one of the minority that believe this track can be more, but it's up to the Emcee. That's his part of his job to bring any track he likes to life.
@sherron346 Then you took it out of context. I was merely stating that if you as an artist felt something was missing, then you could simply add whatever spices you felt it needed. It's an analogy based on the two chefs (beat maker & rapper in this case) working on the same meal. One may feel that the meal is complete, while the other may feel that its missing some spice/s. If you took it any other way than that then, that is in your own head. You seem insistent on being negative about music.
@AZASN8SHUN I'm not negative about music, i just find it highly unlikely that anyone regardless of how talented they are as an artist would be able to repeat a good rap on this beat and any other one and have it sound better on this beat, without adding something to it,, referring to when you said this beat is perfect for someone,,
@sherron346 In that case, you need to realize that the term "Perfect" is flawed in & of itself. How can an imperfect thing in an imperfect existence truly perceive perfection? So in the context, I was using, perfect like anything else (take time for instance) is relative. Relatively perfect. In the musical sense of a connection that an artist makes between himself & any chosen track. In that way it can be perfect.
@AZASN8SHUN hmmm.....relatively perfect,,,that's actually really convincing,,lol,, i do realize i was thinking predominantly,,,, i like the way u talk about music, like it's for everyone, nd i think it is,, lol, i agree with u now :),, i might spit on this just because of this convo lol,, ill give u a s/o, that cool?
@sherron346 I use this track as a writer track, so I know personally that it can be flowed to nicely. I just don't have the concept to go with it. The concert theme in the intro gives me the idea of an artist bein introduced to a crowd. (Concert maybe.) I posted some (at the time) freestyle lyrics to this a year ago. Two things I like about this beat is that it's kinda catchy & that I always find myself bobbin my head to it. Cool, but not required. I just love muzak & Rap / Hip Hop in general :)
@sherron346 Yea, its real cool. & yea, I been rappin since I was ten. I just don't advertise coz its just for the L.O.V.E. I don't want to turn my passion into a job I'll hate. lol I guess the kick is the main part of this so in a way, I can see your point too. I guess one can consider it an incomplete track. I was there when all this Rappin & Hip Hoppin kick off. lol What a great time it was as far as Rap goes. It was still new & fresh.
@AZASN8SHUN are u ancient or something lol? i mean how old are u, cuz i'm actually 17 despite what youtube says lol, nd if u dnt mind i'd appreciate it if u checked out some of my rap vids, i was influenced by one of the great legends in rap ,Eminem, so u might enjoy it,,:)
can everyone please check out the song i made to this beat, my crew and i killed this beat and we have a music video to it too. check out my page:D
