What i think Sony has done is try to cram as much stuff into a tiny phone and show off to other makers. Kind of funny but the phone looks great, and also i went into the carphonewherehouse and they had a prototype unit there. It's small and all that and it has a good build to it. Someone said to me that when these come on the shelfs they will suplly different colour battery covers for it and possibly a set of sony speakers.

I bought a Nokia N900 in february... yesterday I sold it... I learned a lesson... I don't want a large and heavy "unfinished" phone with a resistive touch screen...

But I so want a SE Xperia X10 mini pro!! It looks so sweet and awesome!! And it runs ANDROID :D:D:D:D

After using the X10, I am not going to trust the development team of SEMC now.

The X10 is so creepy and has lots of bugs in it and I don't believe the X10 mini and X10 mini pro can do better.

The only information that you got from SEMC technical support is "We are aware of these problems and they are not in our database, we hope we can fix it in the next software update".

I was thinking about why there wasn't an Xperia™X10 Pro version, but then I decided that sliding out the keyboard on an already sizable phone with a 4 inch screen would make the phone almost the size of a netbook(and heavy)!

I just hope this phone is going to be available in Canada. I'm tired of buying unlocked phones on eBay. I'd like to have the phone in my hand to see how it feels first prior to buying. I've always had Ericsson phones, but since Sony merged with them, some phones have very very cheap plastics or the paint won't last long.

I currently own a T303a because it's in aluminium and rock solid. This is a very robust phone.

A month ago when pictures of the X10 Mini leaked, I was telling myself that this phone would be perfect with a sliding keyboard!

Guess how I reacted when I learned about the X10 Mini Pro!!

The only downside is that there's no white version for the Pro version. I prefer white stuff, I'm a Mac guy, but not an iPhone lover, Android is the way to go.

The colour won't prevent me from buying one, just wish there was a white version. Will have to go with the black instead.

very satisfied with it, the only thing that I wish, is that I could configure more than just one single email in the email software... Don't understand why we're stock with one email address only. @McDeeViouz Well, I wanted a smartphone that wasn't huge and inconfortable in my pants pocket. I know that most american are fat, so their pocket are bigger, and with the economy they are empty, so they might have the space enough so it can feel confortable lolll.

I also wanted a physical keyboard, I hate those touch screen virtual keyboard, they're not enough precise IMO. The other choise I had was the HTC Dream (quite ugly and HUGE), or the Motorola Milestone (too BIG).

i can use the wi-fi fine, just not the browser, therefore, cannot use email, youtube etc etc, when not at home.

@McDeeViouz Actually you shouldn't have to activate anything. My browser does the same thing, but it isn't a problem, it is because my SIM card is too old and does not content my cell company 3G network info.

In order to have 3G working, you'll have to go under Settings->Wireless Connection->Mobile network->Network Mode

If your SIM card content the 3G network information, you should have the choise of GSM / HSDPA or something like that. Make sure you select it.

@McDeeViouz I don't have this choise, so I use GSM only. Batterie life is longer with 3G turned off, and anyway I do not have an internet plan, because they're too expensive in Canada.

My phone OS is configured in French, so I translated rapidly the path I used to get to the Network Mode, it might not be exactly the correct terms, but it will be something close to it if you do not find them.

The browser is saying it cannot connect because it doesn't detect an Internet connection.

@McDeeViouz I just needed a phone to check my email over Wi-Fi, and sending SMS, don't care about 3G, it cost too much for so little monthly bandwidth. Canada is ranked like the 28th out of 30 country in pricing/data for Mobile network. US are 21-23th.

The 5MP camera of the X10 Mini Pro was a real bonus to me, I never actually though of taking pictures and video here and there, but since I've got the phone, everything funy I see, I take a picture or video of it loll.
