Kingdom Hearts is great too, but Xenosaga had a way better story, better gameplay, better music, better emotions, better voice acting, better characters, and better depth. It's an all-around better game.

@songoku17 They had no choice but to pull the plug Xenosaga because after episode 1, some people left, and more left after each sequal. But the main reason why it was cut short is because it was hardly on the popluarity line to the rest of the world. But in Japan it was as popular (or more popular) then Final Fantasy. Shame that they didn't make more. Dispite that, everything in the story was explained. (except for some small minor parts)

@Joehop777 Yes that is true unfortunately. Yeah so I heard it was new and fresh, it did deserve the popularity it got while it was brought out. It's a shame The US doesn't appreciate some games and let's them go by. It was pretty descriptive,a few things and characters pasts were left cloudy but over all it was great. Shame to see such a good game canceled. But thanks for explaining

@songoku17 One thing I forgot, theres a xenosaga cell phone game called xenosaga: the pied piper story. Though its exclusively in japan. It Explains more of Ziggys story. Go to Labrinthos(dot)org to find out. I'm not shure it still exsists but its worth a look.

Too bad I hear number 2 isn't nearly as good as 1. And for the last boss or an epic boss the first song would have made fantastic music. If they had put it as the Albedo fight in Episode I i bet it coulda gained One Winged Angel status.

Btw. Xenosaga is the best game series ever... I want the afterstory with a potential remake of Xenogears so badly...

EP II storyline definetly has it's moments (for exemple U.R.T.V.'s thread is shown really good), but generally, the main plot is rushed, chaotic and many of cutscenes don't make very good impression, because of things like completely inappropriate music, face and voice expression, stupid, naive dialogs or just bad direction.

meh. i liked episode 2. I agree that it was too short, but the battle system was quite good in my opinion. It just felt great to boost and combo and give the enemy no chance for retaliation. But as for storyline, it is a little lacking. I guess it had to be this way because epI was the beginning: the introduction. ep II is fillers and ep 3 is the end. so, it makes sense.

Addressing the lyrics question, the truth is it IS jibberish! (I've read that its a style of song wherein the vocals are more an instrument.) There are lyrics, but there is no real point to them other than the sound. Certainly works, na? Oh, and the trailer, I'm beginning to feel saddened by the cuts, and how it seems that for Ep. III to go over well you'd have need to have played the DS version to get the whole story... gr....anyway, thank you!

Can someone confirm if the lyrics for the background music are all jibberish. Plus the game was short! Regardless of the lenght of and number of cutscenes this game had, it was still short. Cut scenes for Episode 1 equalled to 8 hrs. Episode 2 just had 6 hrs or less.

Yuki Kajiura is known for just chanting sound in her songs so it is just jibberish really. They should've had more gameplay in the second not cutscenes. I'm actually glad they cut down on them.
