I was hoping to see more interesting discutions and I see plenty of arguments and swear words... People, it's just a girl (and a guy) playing in a movie. I think her skills are not bad and she's very cute. I also saw the movie "Wing Chun" in which she plays the main character and enjoyed it. It's mainly a comedy, but also has its dramatic moments. Cute girl, decent fight scenes, nice story (the story of Wing Chun - a very effective martial art). We should just enjoy the movie and move on :).
wing chun was developed by a girl 300 years ago... a shaolin monk taught a girl how to fight with a nameless martial style and after she got good in that style they named it after her wing chun/wing tsun ( forever spring) !!
It does show how people enjoy doing Wing Chun centerline chain punches to good effect. However.. she is not trained in WC and this is not WC. Very nice though.

We don't turn from the centerline, we don't crouch down and punch someone in the legs, both hands must remain useful (by not turning the shoulders) while continuously facing the centerline. She did a great job but it's an impression of Wing Chun much like Rich Little does an impression of a President.
my personal opinion, wing chun is giving you principles to follow, and general tools to follow it with. Meaning being strictly wing chun does not mean using tan sao or pak sao but using anything that follows the principle. Some of what she does is too much, but other things I think are still practicle. Alot of wing chun fighters seem very stiff. I think relaxing more could help and make other options that we tend to completly shut out much more likely possibilities. Again, just my opinion.

@sloppymantis: Yeah, a lot of what she's doing is definitely for show. It would be interesting to see if she had any actual fundamentals instead of just trying to impress the audience, but oh well.
