  • @cnjallison Thank you for watching.

  • Are you the one flying the plane?

  • @xSolstice1 Yes I was.

    Bill

  • I used to be on the Research and Advisory Board of Aviation Week Magazine. Then I was in the US Navy, and their reporters found me onboard an Aircraft Carrier. They dismissed me from the board because they said I don'r represent GENERAL Aviation anymore, and that I represent CARRIER BASED Aviation.

General Aviation and Carrier Based Aviation have a sort of rift between them.

  • @AviationMetalSmith Interesting. Thanks for watching.

    Bill

  • @AviationMetalSmith Well yea, I don't know too many local pilots who have a carrier to land on :)

  • Nice video, having some boot work done?

  • @jt4136 Thanks. No just a plant equipment research trip.

  • Let's see... altitude: 21,000 feet. Speed: 520 knots. Level flight. Course: zero-niner-zero. Trim and mixture: wash, soak, rinse, spin. You did good Bill! I was not worried the least bit.

  • @DJHOGHEAD Heh. Thanks.

    Bill

  • Nice to see a high quality video of general aviation. Im in the midst of flight training currently, and its one of the funnest hobbies and careers out there.

  • @StCatharinesRailFan8 It can be interesting. Thanks.

    Bill

  • Haha, a cab ride with Bill!

  • @MP36er I guess that's about right.

    Bill

  • Good stuff.

  • @MattBNSF1991 Thanks, Matt.

  • Great Video.!! Mounted Camera? Looked like the landing was not on the numbers. I learned off an 1800 foot strip and on the numbers was a must. And I carried that on to my students too. If we missed touch down by 200 feet it was a go around. My instructor required this even on a 10,000 ft runway so we didn't get out of practice. Happy Flying from Newman ShrineHillRail

  • @ShrinehillRail Touching down on the numbers on a 6,300 foot runway in a turbine airplane is pretty much frowned upon. Those big wide stripes about 1,000 feet down are generally where touchdown should be. Thanks very much for watching.

    Bill

  • looks like you greased that one, very nice! Wish I was in the right seat.

  • @AJ67901 Hardy any wind. So no excuses.

    Bill
