Religulous is a great movie. It's like watching a rational guy encountering crazy characters in Wonderland. You can empathise with all of Bill's questions and reactions throughout, but the sad thing is the Wonderland is the real world and the crazies are my fellow primates.

Not really. If there are things that can be best accomplished by lying to, or threatening, people, you can undoubtedly accomplish it by more effective means than religion. People use their perceptions of religion and take it to vast extremeties just so that the 'traitor' or the 'blasphemer' is punished or killed. Although it solves nothing.
