whats your speedo healer set at? mines -10.6% i have a power comander and an r55 yoshi slip on, and my speedo healer will only read about 163 and i know its either wrong or theres a problem with my bike ahah. any insite??
A year or two ago, a magazine radar'd a coupld 600's. 168 MPH was a top speed for one. A power commander and if you have an air filter, full exhaust could bring you to that number pretty easily (the 170). Even with the speedohealer it could be off by like 1-3 mph at that speed. But you're right, it's def close.
your pretty brave for going over a blind hill @ 130+ and accel, i hit a tractor going over a blind hill @ only 90 or so and then got ejected into oncoming traffic and ran over, be careful bro, it only takes 1 time
i have an 07 gixxer 600 with a speedohealer/powercommander and almost every mod you can put on it. With the speedohealer, your indicated speed is almost exact on the reading. I have, with the space to run it on, busted 175 mph, with more left to give. You just have to learn how to shift gears at the right time to get all the power out of each gear. I hate when people talk about what bikes can't do, and they're probably riding scooters or pocketbikes. nice vid!
i have a stock gsxr 600 and i have gotten it up too 186 and the bike couldnt go anymore people that say the bike couldnt do that is because they dont know how to shift. you have to shift it at the right time to get it up that fast
omfg really. every keeps talkin 165 tops. noooooo thats wrong, got a speedo healer, and im running 177 actual mph with a full yoshi r55 full exhaust sytem. there quick but ppl underestimate them. and its annoying
I own a 2007 gsxr 600. NO WAY A 600cc bike will ever see a true 170mph. Stock that is. No bike in the US will read past 186 mph (Correct me if i am wrong on this). Surely, a few teeth down in the rear sprocket and good LONG run at bonneville and you will see 180+.
You guys may say yours tops out at 170 and although your bike may read that its still inaccurate. There is 5.5% error on bikes speedometers so if your say your doing 170 your really only doing 161 or so. If you want to get an accurate speed buy a speedo healer and install it in your bike. It takes away the factory error and will also reduce the miles you travel.
You people talk out of your asses and it amazes me. What idiot says "Their (should be they're) only known for doing 160-165 tops" You my friends are a world class douche bag, I own a 2007 600 which with it's power to weight ratio and current whp and wtq ratings in stock form the bike can do OVER 182 which is what Suzuki claims. I have done 182 on my bike and still had a lot more to go but no road. Please don't speak on what you don't know, technology is a replacement for displacement, ptw ratio.
182 MPH stock form huh? Holy shit that's insane coming from a 600, good to know my K9 gixxer is capable of some truly nasty speeds lol I still would never do that though.
they will do 165 tops, stock. With a power commander, full-system, and some other modifications, they can go faster than that. 600's are true sprint bikes.
Yea thanks... but not only was I going uphill... but going the opposite direction I've had the bike at 178 with room for more. I am quite aware the indicated speed is not the actual gps/ground speed and that there is error. But that being said even Suzuki claims at 182mph top speed of the bike in stock form.
@kobykris no, i rode my twin brother's 2006 gsxr 600 with akro pipe and pc3 perfectly tuning, it top out 168 mph with gps said. and my gsxr 1000 2010 it top out 185.72 mph with gps, now 233 mph with gps because i put 236 rear wheel hp ;) but i put back stock gearing now hit 190 mph with even 236 rear wheel hp cuz i want deadliest power and quickest ;)

The bike has a speedohealer/power commander and all the other bullshit. The indicated speed is so close to the "real" speed it doesn't matter...

Nice but 600s don't get 170 stock with just a slip on. They'll read about 10% off anyways
