This video is like the kind of dreams I would have if I were a lunatic: strange architecture, insipid colors, people wandering around as though in a zombified state.
it was one of the pieces which was sent to the universe in 1970 with the voyager golder record!!! can you imagine it? maybe a billion years later, an ailen will come across that record and listen to this beautiful music! :)
wow, this is funny. it must have taken them a while to video. they seemed to be trying to create a piece of art. it was great how the solo instruments walked around and stuff.
a wonderful combination of this fab piece and artistic choreography- i know Bach would have loved it- have to give Basel the edge here over Freiburg in that the piccolo trumpet w valves can manage this piece- could the other baroque trumpet even in B's time? It bothers me to think of B not hearing this this way- and how he had to hear his Cantatas Murdellated.
But he knew he was right in his brain- not in his "mind nor soul nor spirit", etc etc.
Fantástico... Una maravilla!

I don't think I have ever seen a "music video" for a classical piece... definitely different from what I am used to..

I guess Bach would have said
" Gosh, my music has driven people nuts...anyway, they play very well"

Certainly is! They don't make them like this any more!
And it brings back such memories - I remember seeing this on Channel 4, around 1987 if I remember correctly. (I was about 15 at the time)
