The dub for me was like 50/50

Some of the VA's like Allelujah, Alejandro, Ribbons, Lockon, Ali, and Tieria were quite good in my opinion. Personally I felt as though Brad Swaile was trying too hard as Setsuna and NAgano was perfect. The Red HAro from S2 gives me nightmares lol

The people working on the localization are professionals - The Ocean Group.

The kids whining about the dub as if they know better are getting rather annoying. The dub is of a great quality; remember their job is to portray the same story, with the same characters, not to reproduce the exact same voices are their Japanese counterparts. Furthermore, lip-syncing can result in the occasional awkward line.

I partly agree with you, but the people who watched in Japanese first tend to be annoyed when they're used to hearing someone tough sounding and professional like Sergei talking like a reckless kid. I think that Ocean Group could have done a bit better, although I think its still watchable.

I know better, and this dub is crap. the voice actors FAIL to portray the same characters and the story. The changes they made in the dialog has completely changed some of the characters and changed the story as well.

Meh, the dub isn't that bad. There are some changes, but most of them don't really affect the story. And I don't really care about most of the changes. I never expected it to be a full 100% carbon copy anyway.

Oh well, I'm not going to watch season 1 dubbed again. Once I own the DVD I'll just watch it in Japanese with subs.

I have watched the entire dubbed series of 00 and although there have been some bad parts, there has been some really good parts too.

As for the skipping the episode has to fit in a time limit, but as soon as these eps are brought to DVD, they will be completed with no skipped parts.

God people and you also act like this is some kind of surprise, if you watch anime you must know by now that the japanese is MUCH better at dubbing when we are. I mean really! How are you surprised?

The channel has to pay it's employees, purchase new programs, pay their other costs, make some decent profit etc. You would have done the same, or else you can't buy tv programs (Expensive) and you would have problems with the wages which results in a strike. Now that's a favourable situation.

The only reason why scenes are cut is because Scifi channel needs money from all the advertisements to pay their employees.

The DVDs will be uncut. The only Gundam series that had both cut and uncut releases was Gundam Wing and that's a long time ago.
