@AmetdeathA passing cars at over 30 mph speed difference is not riding safe , if you have an open road with no cars and high visibility then WOT it all you want , but a car runing a stop sign , a car making a left turn in front of you or a lady cutting you off because she was about to miss her turn will send you to the morgue at those speeds .

@AmetdeathA No offense but riding safe is only half the battle. I got hit by a car at about 75mph, it wasn't my fault at all and my right foot was turned 90 degrees to the left and my heel was facing up. I ended up about 70 yards from where the car hit me. I was on my way to get my wife and now wish I was wearing my sidi boots. P.S. I was a paramedic and now cant do my job bc there are 10 screws and 2 plates holding my talus(ankle) bone together. @AmetdeathA That's your problem... you think it is all about YOU riding safely and YOU not taking risks. Crashes are mostly caused by others not on motorcycles. Blue jeans fall apart in a crash, not gloves will leave you with numbs and that hoodie will fall apart quicker than them jeans. Put me on your life insurance...

At least, that's what people are likely to think when they see you. You can explain how safely you ride all you like, but until you start wearing proper gear there's more chance of being instantly pigeon-holed as irresponsible, even when you aren't.
