I thought this movie was incredibly beautiful to look at, but the slow plot and the absence of narrative was incredibly irritating. I can see why people praise it, but totally not for me.
The upbeat music seems at odds with such a meditative, hypnotic film like this one - interesting juxtaposition. I love Antonioni, though - every single shot in his movies could be framed and hung up in an art gallery!
The only Antonioni film I've seen in 'Blow-Up' and I really want to see more of his work. His direction is BEAUTIFUL...every shot is a great photograph. Just looking at this trailer, the shot of Alain Delon at his desk is breathtaking!
I saw this movie a while back and it great...but I think "L'Avventura" was still the best that Michaelangelo Antonioni did with "Blow Up" a close second.

This movie is so slick and suave. Antonioni has directed some of the best-photographed movies I have ever seen.
