  • I want this video on my MP300 unit.

  • ahah my fav a340 im trinidad

  • I'm upset that Caribbean Airlines did only use this aircraft for a few months and get rid it after. It's better to have bigger aircraft in your fleet because think of how many passengers you could of carry.

  • My GOSH that plane seems so HUGE! It has another set of wheels between the two rear landing wheels? Video doesnt do justice to the size these aircraft must be. How many passengers can they seat? And does anyone know how wide the wingspan, the length, stc? And also, how FAST do these giants have to be going when that front wheel leaves the ground for takeoff? I am really new and ignorant to this so would appreciate any knowledge sharing. Thank you, and, btw, great video.

  • they don't call those engines hair dryers for nothing! They sounds like they're full throttle and the things CREEPING down the runway. :) :)

  • nice vid :)

Always thought the A340-500/600 were better looking though...

  • When I first saw this video, I wondered

why is the writing so crooked?

(most noticeable at 0:38 and 1:05)

I also wondered what kind of logo is this?

So I went on the internet only to discover....

    BWIA doesn't exist anymore!

  • Yeah shame they dont exist no more :(, Loved BWI A340's.

  • they are caribbean airlines now...they just change their name

  • yes they have changed there now but now they do not opperate any A343's as i believe all their long haul flights were cut out on the name change

  • The logo on the plane is a steel pan it is a musical instrument from Trinidad! the airline was BWIA but now is Caribbean Airline

  • brilliant vid, gotta love the sound of those IAE V2500 engines, when i last went to manchester they had a virgin A340-600 in massive.

great vid 5 stars, keep posting vids

    mike

  • I know you meant CFM56 since the 340-200/300 use them exclusively. The 340-500/600 use the Rolls Trent 560.
