  • Your just jealous because America got Jason Becker.

  • is this amp powerful enough to get yourself heard in a band ?? if you know what I mean ...I don't wanna overload the amp

  • @iitsVince I've read people asking this before and from what I can gather, the amp is supposed to be pretty damn loud. If you search for Rob Chappers, he does a lot of demos of the tiny terror head. Even without a big cab, I'm sure that the combo would do fine if you put the volume on 6 or 7.

  • @surtursfire Thanx !!

  • This sounds like shit to me.

  • can this amp get a really clean sound if needed?

  • @dchim2 At bedroom volumes you can get decent cleans with single-coils. But I'd expect a little bit of hair on your clean tone at performance volumes, especially if you're playing with humbuckers. It's best to give one of these a try in person before dropping that much money on an amp. They're a really cool amp, but they have a distinct sound/flavor that isn't for everybody. I much prefer the tiny terror combos to the heads. I much prefer the g12h30 speaker with this amp.

  • i want this.......badly

  • So how good is an orange amp?

cuz I think I might want one, ofcourse I also want a Marshall and a VOX

  • not sure if I should get this or a Blackstar HT series....

  • how much is this amp?

  • All the 7watt switch does its cut the top end scream off.....15w all the way

  • I just recorded on an album with a Tiny Terror the studio had, it's fkn amazing. Clean tones with the gain about 10 o'clock and the volume and tone at 12 were just about perfect with a neck single coil. Also clearly the distortion on it is mighty as hell. I'm getting one.

  • Should I go for the combo or just the head seperate?

  • @shitzkies head if you have a cab, combo if not.simple as that haha

  • @zombiegaara well... with the head you can buy a 4x12 cabinet and get more volume, right?

  • @mynmyself correct, ur getting the power of 4 speakers to one.

  • what's the thing with this combo, some people say that there is not clean possible without getting down the volume knot on the guitar (not the amp volume knot), is this true??

  • Im learning guitar and bought and Orange amp and love the thing!!

  • This amp sounds cool but I'm wondering how clean it can actually go?

  • were u using it on the 7 watt mode???

  • Has anyone tried this amp with NOS tubes?

  • can i get some brutal-but-clear metal tones?

  • @givemeajackson don't think so.

  • @givemeajackson

I tried is the other day at my local shop on a vantage les paul replica, and let me tell you this sucker gets loud. However, if your looking for a dave mustaine or thrashy/ death metal type tone, your probably better off running this amp through a MXR fullmetal distortion. Matter of fact, run that pedal through any amp it will cut through nice.

as you can tell from this video this amp has more of a zepplin/GNR slash overdrive. it sounds fucking amazing man trust me.

  • Where's the BEEF? !?!!?

  • Nice thing about a 15W Orange Amp? You can crank an Orange Amp without deafening yourself. :D

  • 9 dislikes? Why??

  • @stepanbartosu Becaus it only has a tone controll and no 3band eq? :D

  • @stepanbartosu That's the guys from Marshall, Fender, Mesa, Laney, etc.

  • type gift in the url before youtube

  • is it the 1 x10 version?

  • is it the 1 x10 version?

  • @4CiD911 me too man, me to,, now it feels like im stuck with a bitchy wife that i wanna get rid of so i could make sweet love to a hot new girl friend

  • if you roll back the volume on your guitar and the gain on the amp can u get a good clean tone that is pretty loud?

  • @NeutralSnap Yeah bringing down the volume on your guitar does not really drop your overall volume that much. This amp rules!!

  • there needs to be reverb

  • that 1st clean riffage is so awesome

  • Hey, do you miss having the bass mid and treble...I mean can you get the searing high tones if needed....have you tried using an eq pedal....it sounds really l´nice but some complain about the lack of tone control

  • Comment removed

  • @312chicagoadam

i'm afraid you mistook it for a different amp...the ones you bought were probably solid state orange crush combos...this amp is like almost 1000$ new

  • @dumapies Ahhh,,,yes, my Friend! I should have come back and removed my comment (which I am doing now) because I was indeed, mistaken. I found out when I went back to the store to BUY it! I thought that they were tube driven....I absolutely despise solid-state amps. Thank You for checking me on that, though,,,because that was some bad info!

  • @312chicagoadam Hey, which amps are ss driven...not these I hope..I find myself coming back to these terrors..I think the tiny sounds better than the duel 30...Im just no t sure because of not having the bass mid treble..how responsive is the tone knob on these..they sound like a combination of retro/vintage and new metal...thanks

  • @stevoe1000 Im stuck between the terror combo and the Blackstar HT5 combo.

I dont need a lot of volume so the 5w of the HT5 is plenty and they are a good bit cheaper than the terror......BUT i keep coming back to the terror.....What if i need more volume in the future????? I suppose I could just mic it. Or what about a Laney VC15? what they like.......endless possibilities on a nice small valve amp ;0)

  • @vainparasite I tried the HT5 the other day...you have to hear them yourself as they never sound exactly like they are here and on different guitars and pick ups too..it sounded alright, nothing special, and the special tone knob didn't really do much except act like a mid range sort of....the laneys seem great, I havent heard one in person yet but I know they sound better loud, at least the VC30..so we might not get the tones we like at bedroom, apartment levels.maybe the 15 is better but

  • @vainparasite have to finish my words here :)...the laney 15 seems to be good with pedals..no one really seems to like the gain channel much...it seems to sound good but If im getting a tube amp I want to hear the tubes and not the pedals..the laney CUB 15 sounds good though, but the other small laney with the 10 inch speaker needs the pedals...I'm considering the cub or the TT..and micing them up I'm sure is fine...there is one guy using one with his band on here somewhere so you can hear that.

  • @stevoe1000 Cheers for that stevoe, I finally opted fot a TT combo and picked up a blackstar HT DistX pedal (tube driven) with one of those ISF tone thingies on so hopefully I should have a good mix of both the Orange and Blackstar tone.

  • @vainparasite Hey man, your welcome...can I ask how it went with the blackstar pedal and the TT....have you got any demos on here with that set-up.....thanks and happy thanks giving....

  • @stevoe1000 I haven't got anything on here with them yet. To be honest they're for my son for christmas so I have only managed a quick sneaky test of them so far and that went very well, the TT on its own was better than I had imagined it and with the HT it turned it into a good footswitchable 2 channel with more distortion than he will probably ever need. Thanks for all the info dude have a good christmas.

  • jimmy page haha

  • Hey question you think I'd get by in a post-hardcore/indie band with my tiny terror combo and another 1x12 cabinet? I'm thinking we're only going to play like basement/garage shows, with 30-40 people tops. It's just I need to compete with drummer bassist, singer/screamer, and i guy with a 5150. W're not going to do anything too heavy or too metal, so...

  • I literally just came back from guitar center and they surprisingly had a bunch of orange amps there (don't usually see nice british amps in the states). Naturally I had to try this and the fullstack versions out. This amp, for a combo BLEW me away, it sounds so full and distinct and has that great 3D sound that cornford is well known for, mainly on the clean channel. Definitely a consideration for a combo amp purchase (as my main amp is a 100 w monster randall mts combo).

  • i have heard this amp is good for small gigs etc but how does it do at very low volumes. im in the airforce and live in rooms with thin walls so can it do quiet bedroom levels? btw i no about tube amps being better loud i used to work in a guitar store i just need to no how quiet they get :-) thanks guys

  • @jwalsh8 Look into the VOX they have a tube amp that can switch down to something like 1/10th of a watt. Guaranteed it doesn't sound as good though...

  • i have been using one of these for bedroom shoegaze / noise / experimental stuff, even synthesizers through it. kick ass piece of gear that is put together well. i really dig it because i can get nice distortion/breakups at a low volume which is nice for apartments.

  • I wish tube amps weren't sold at retail price to people who want them but sold for wholesale price because they deserve them enough because they took time to play guitar...

  • @cheezbeenzriz Ahhh, the perfect world :)

  • @cheezbeenzriz

Up for the dumbest comment ever award. Also known as: I'm so caught up in my own little world comment. Any product on the market goes to the person with the money. Get over it.

  • @leonjay1 Up for the most pointless comment ever award. A.K.A.:I'm so caught up in my little world I have to reply to a comment that's about 1 1/2 years old so I can feel special and state the obvious. I for one bought a tube amp already and the reason i put the comment was because I wished...-.- i replied to you because I just hate a nuisance that decides to reply with such a stupid and utterly pointless comment...

  • @cheezbeenzriz

Huh? Well I'm sure somebody understands that reply.

  • @leonjay1 My point exactly. You are... well... not the most intellectual person. ;)

  • @cheezbeenzriz

One would have to assume, from the lack of precision in your communication, that English is not your first language. I cannot allow myself to waste any more time in pointless banter with someone who is clearly unaware of his lack of basic discourse skills.

  • @leonjay1 What makes you conjure up that idea. Nice using a thesaurus.XD To bad your encephalon is to darn fucked. I applaud you, waste of solder semen and prostitute egg cells. :) I know you will want to waste your time with pointless banter(hahaha) by responding but I'm making sure you won't reply. You are a complete fiasco.

  • @cheezbeenzriz

I'm sure solder does not have anything in common with semen. Also, I think you may have meant damn. Yawn!

  • @leonjay1 no I meant soldier and as for darn i meant darn-.-..and it seems as if you are always on fucking Youtube...get yourself a life. so long adversary.

  • @cheezbeenzriz

How this started was my response to your small-minded and ridiculous comment about a valve amp. As I look back, it was even worse than I thought. Subsequent comments from you prove that the human race spawns biological entities that deserve the title "retard", the kingdom of which you are king. People who play guitar do so and enjoy it. Some cannot and so elevate themselves by exploring realms of which they have no understanding and in which they do not belong.

  • @cheezbeenzriz

I have attempted to express my feelings without stooping to vulgarities but, unfortunately, your use of language would indicate that you are a sub-human, bog-dwelling piece of excrement. I thus need to meet you on the only playing field on which you are capable of competing. You are an arsehole. You probably can't even play three open chords on a guitar. Sadly you dream about being great and owning a valve amp (in retrospect, admittedly) and hold a grudge against others who do.

  • @cheezbeenzriz

Another suggestion: attempt to secure some guidance in the use of the English language: the manner in which you rape it is disappointing, to say the least. Sell your guiatr and amp and drown yourself in a pit of sewerage. PS: "Smoke on the water" on one string does not constitute playing the guitar and no-one on this planet or any other gives a shit about you and the fact that you wanted a valve amp and couldn't afford one: Loser with a capital L.

  • @cheezbeenzriz

Lastly, shit-for-brains, I know you meant "soldier", I was pointing out that you are stupid, and you walked right into it. Y?ou will never be an adversary: take on an earthworm with a terminal disease and you may have a chance. Just make sure it can't speak English, otherwise you're fucked.

  • @leonjay1 How many times have you said you weren't going to reply...and holy fuck will you stop annoying!! you have got to be the biggest encumbrance EVER! STFU!!! I implore you!! Oh...and one more thing I fucking passed my AP English class with a fucking A...Have fun in your lone Island, insignificant piece of trash. Go wallow in your idiocy. It obviously comforts you..-.- N.Z. prick.

  • @cheezbeenzriz Geez, how did I miss this? When other people say all Americans are thick, I normally argue the point. You, however, dipshit, have proven them right. You may have passed English with an A+++. Unfortunately, that does not really count since the grade was attained in the USA where the language you "speak" is not really English. Also, the number of immigrants from USA and other parts of the world to NZ indicate that it is not significant enough.

  • @leonjay1 I see why our presidents have been trigger-happy fucks. Arrogant people like you, who have to win arguments even though they are completely incorrect have to have their mouths suppressed some way. As for your idea that I even played "Smoke on the Water" is hilarious. But I digress, the reason you argue is over an economic statement remember? I like the fact that the U.S.'s currency is the World's Reserve Currency you buy our legal tender before your country even buys their imports.

  • @cheezbeenzriz I don't want any more Americans here. Your country has done a wonderful job of fucking up the world economy. Leave my country alone, wanker. PS: Have you progressed beyond Smoke on the water? Two strings maybe? Perhaps you have really challenged yourself and gone for "Smells like teen spirit"? You are a fucking retard.

  • Hey question, will techy metal bands cut through on this amp? I want to be able to play some tech death, and wondering if those sounds will cut through? I mean, I don't want to play tech death in my music, but being able to get a half-decent tone that allows notes to play clearly in heavy saturation would be nice.

  • 1:00 of "clean-ish" tone on a 6:00 video demo. Not a very versatile amp, is it?

  • Comment removed

  • @nicero870 I'm sorry, how does the amount of time the reviewer spends demonstrating the clean tones of this amp dictate whether or not it is versatile? I find this amp highly capable of many different tones

  • would this be able to keep up with a twin reverb? i have a peavey stack and my bandmat'es fender cuts through it like it's nothing (no surprise there).

  • Comment removed

  • Get this amp if you're looking for something that easy to crank into power tube saturation, and has a vintage tone with plenty of mid-range growl. Plenty of gain, any more is just noise and makes your tone flubby and unfocused. Tight and clear. Not too much low end, so your bassist can breathe in the mix. Not overly bright, so it sounds organic. Incredible amp, and not just for the money. I recommend running it through a PPC412.

  • @jacobtheguitarfreak How much it costs?

  • @eduf93 Head- $575...Combo- $859...PPC412 cab (that I mentioned)- $1049

  • @jacobtheguitarfreak with that kind of cost, you might as well invest in a rockerverb 30 instead. they are goign to put those out of production anways...

  • what is that song in the clean your playing at the start called, sounds beautiful?

  • is this a good amp to play megadeth, acdc, blues, guns and roses, country and heavy metal stuff?

  • @fckugler

    Yeah man.

  • @fckugler well acdc used it for sometime, you can play some blues on this amp, guns and roses logically yes, this amps sound really close to marshalls and megadeth and metal stuff I don't think it has enough gain so you will need a metal distorion pedal like the mxr fullbore to get more distortion, but for the players you've mentioned all use this kind of amps (British sounding). Hope this helps!

  • all nerds shut the fuck --and play !

  • I am planning to buy this,

unfortunately i dont have enough money to get 2 stuffs so I'll need to use this both at home and on small gigs/rehersal. Is it enough for a gig? Can this be used well as a head with a 1*12? Thanks

  • I'm so glad I heard this. Now I'll never buy one

  • what's the first song he played?

  • Heyy,

is anybody able to tell me the song from 0:09 to 1:05 ? i love it :)

  • Rockerverb 100 FTW!

  • probably a stupid question but just wanna be sure, this vs the cube 30x ? XD

  • yes indeed this is a stupid question

  • wow, tube vs solidstate? at least pick something in the same categorie

  • im sure its much clearer and better sounding than a cube 30 and stuff, but since its its 15W, is it louder?

  • which number is bigger? 15 or 30

  • completely wrong. Yes, this is a LOT louder than a cube 30. Plus, the tone is going to be tons better

  • I have both a tube 15 watt is way louder.

  • yes, compared to a roland 15x.

  • why is it that smaller amps tones are better

  • @geletmote Because you can drive the tubes hard without peeling the paint off the walls! the more tube saturation the better the sound!!!!

  • Hey @byusnowboarder , I just scored one of these little beauties and was wondering if its cool to add another 8 ohm box just buy leaving the existing 16 ohm speaker plugged in while just plugging in the 8 ohm ext speaker? Cheers, john

  • @johnw7000 No, that's not how it works. Could you do it? I suppose so, but the output transformer isn't designed for it, and I strongly recommend against it.

  • Volume shouldn't matter much, the tone of this thing will blow a cube 30 out of the water. The Tiny Terror has enough power to gig, so you shouldn't need anything more than that. Go with the Orange

  • @jacobtheguitarfreak ok, have a cube already, i do gigs and have to mic it so... ;)

  • I love my Tiny Terror! Sounds incredible. And it's totally gig-able. Can't wait to try this out in the studio, i'm sure it'll sound MASSIVE, especially with the layers we're gonna be doing :)

  • The tt has a tone of it's own, I like it from the demo different than what you normally hear.

  • if its a tiny terror then i want it for a tiny price ;P

  • Comment removed

  • Try a JCM800, more expensive but that kinda sorts everything you want haha. You could always buy a tiny terror and mod it.

  • don't like this king of "test" with mic on the cab.

i have one tiny terror, and at those volume it is REALLY loud !

  • it sounds a wee bit muddy

  • To be fair though, the little Mesa amps they have now are maybe even worse although their clean sound is amazing.

  • its to do with an amps class..these a so sound more spongy.most marshalls a/b

  • If I'm not mistaken, this amp has only one channel, as do several of orange's models. This means that there IS no clean setting. The amps are designed this way intentionally to give a more "vintage" tone. However, on their dual-channel amps, Orange has a very smooth clean tone. Although, I'm an orange kinda guy, and I personally think Dumble/Matchless/Cornford amps have a weak clean tone. It really all comes down to personal preference.

  • Yes, they have one channel only, and the clean (at low amp settings) is bad. Bad cleans from those three? You're kidding, right? It's the best jazz/blues clean you can get! Don't mistake the different characters of clean for a "bad" clean - you have the Vox chime clean sound, the Fender spank/sparkle sound and the mellow blues clean sound of a Dumble/Cornford. Peaches & oranges. Sorry, but if you find a clip of an amazing Orange clean, send me a message, I'd really like to hear that.

  • Price?

    Nice demo .

I find it sounds nicer on clean wiv' the Strat and nicer dirty wiv' the LP

  • thts always the case 4 me

  • Comment removed

  • What is better this or the dual terror w/ a 212 cab

  • i have the rockerverb 50 and a tiny terror combo. 9/10 times i use the terror im too lazy to cart the 50 its HEAVY. i find zero dif in tone and sound when it has a mic in front thru a big pa. sound guys always tell me to turn the 50 down they prefer the terror ;) my 2 cents not like its worth anything but i DO have both amps. orange are good amps as long as u buy the tube ones!! rB

  • What mic is that. A sennheiser of some sorts?

  • whats better for the money?

this or the tiny terror head?

  • depends on the cab and how much u wanna spend and how much volume u need , i f u want it for gigs, get a 4x12 cab and the head which is only 500 dollars

  • not every one can cart around a 4x12 cab every were more like a 2x 12

  • true i heard that two by twelve isn't as heavy or deep sounding, and 2x12 might not be enough, depends if your gigging or not.

  • this!

  • well i got the head, and it sounds amazing.

  • i was just thinking about the fact that you also get a cabinet with this combo. so for me this would be better.

  • yeahh, but do you play guitar or just bass?

  • i play both :)

  • Is a 15 watt tube amp enough to gig with?

  • What song is it you're playing? Or is it original? It sounds so good on that amp.

  • Why only 15 watts?

An 18 watter circuit is 18 watts with a tube rectifier, you could 18-20 watts out of a SS rectifier amp.

Perhaps Orange doesn't want the heat issues killing power tubes?

  • can u get very good clean sounds out of this amp or dose it only do an overdriven sound,

    thanks

  • It can probably do a pretty good clean on lower volumes, but since it's only 15 watts it's not going to be much headroom

  • thanks for your help :D

  • its really versatile for only three nobs. your guitar volume nob would act like the master volume. so the sound u get is really up to u

  • stupid redtreefrogs stupid

  • Hey this sound great! does anyone know what song is played from 0:09 to 1:07? it's sound really nice =)

  • sounded so fucking good, regardless of how much it costs you can't deny it sounds awesome.

  • damn right. i think it might of beat the mesa boogie express by far but thats just me.

  • This is proof that shredding is not needed to judge an amps character. Very accurate representation of this amp. I own it, and the dark growling balls you hear is definitely what it sounds like irl. GJ!

  • Buy an orange is the best choice seriously i have over 10 different pedal and a LINE 6 "SPIDER II" 75watt and nothing can replaced an Orange..orange is a feeling you can't explain after a years of practise and a thousand dollars wasting on amp and pedal i finaly found the Orange has the best amp ever made.

I'm truly satified of my 30 watt Orange , for the price and quality you got the best of the best.

  • Isn't this amp only 15 watts?

  • This one maybe i have another orange don't remember the name is a 30watt.

  • yeah but its a tube some people say you get twice the the power of more than a 15 watt transistor (solid state) amplifler

    eg: 15 watt tube= 30 watt transistor

  • I have a 15 watt tube... my amps sounds more than 30 watt transistor! sounds like a 100watt transistor aprox! Suena muchisimo!

  • i want to get a Peavey ValveKing 212, because it has good gain, but I've heard that it's too loud to get the tubes really going for, like, band practice. Should I get the 112 instead?

  • 212 shouldn't be to bad for getting the tubes hot if you have the volume at about 9 or 10 o'clock it will still sound fine in a practice situation. On the other hand it is a good idea to test out these amps (if possible) you probably would find that 15 watts might not be enough volume

  • Yeah, 15 watts for band practice might not be enough. Thanks!

  • 15 watts of tube power is well enough to hold out in my 5 piece metal band, it smashes my mates Line 6 Spider III HD150 (150 watt half stack) in tone and it competes in volume.

  • wat style of metal u guys play? like metallica sorta or nu metal? and wat settings do u hav the terror on?

  • thats cuz line 6 amps are gay and orange amps are the fuckin shiz fo shiz

  • Agreed. I moved up from my Line 6 Spider "Valve" to one of these bad boys. So happy I ditched that hunk of crap. The Orange actually sounds like a valve amp. cuz it is. Spider Valve "best of both worlds"? No.. Not at all...

  • @ANGRYREDNECKTRUCKER yes, line 6 is too much fucking retarded and digital too

  • @ANGRYREDNECKTRUCKER

2 right, the best are marshall, fender or mesa boggie

  • @rocknrollblues69 --- 1964 VOX AC30TB is the best amp in the world!!!

    Matt.

  • @ANGRYREDNECKTRUCKER

    hellz yeah

  • @ANGRYREDNECKTRUCKER too bad all i can afford is the line 6 lmao

  • @ANGRYREDNECKTRUCKER i bought a line 6 amp a couple of years ago thinking that theyre were great, only to find 6 months later that theyre completley shit, £300 badly spent -.-
