I was lucky to see Randi on the Blizzard of Oz tour. Unbelievable. You just had to be there. NOt too much recorded of this guy that really captures what I saw live and that''s the tragedy of it. The truth is- at the time in my opinion- Rhodes would have blown Van Halen off the stage. Van Halen was no slouch back then either... with a front man like David Lee Roth- Van Halen was bad assed. Randi, Rudy and Tommy were still the baddest metal 3 piece I have ever seen.

@ThatGuyWithTheStuff Man Mustaine is an Animal. Him and Freidman don't get as much credit as they should. Yeah he's no Vai or Gilbert but He's above average I would say. He comes up with some great riffs and solo's, Look at Metallica's first 3 albums... Most of that Mustaine wrote, Kirk just passed it off as his. When people who knew Randy remembered him, their eyes shined with love for him. The Rhoads are those kind of people whose inner beauty is untainted by the world. The wonderful things said about Randy are true, they were spoken with deep love for his soul.

I was lucky to see Randi on the Blizzard of Oz tour. Unbelievable. You just had to be there. NOt too much recorded of this guy that really captures what I saw live and that''s the tragedy of it. The truth is- at the time in my opinion- Rhodes would have blown Van Halen off the stage. Van Halen was no slouch back then either... with a front man like David Lee Roth- Van Halen was bad assed. Randi, Rudy and Tommy were still the baddest metal 3 piece I have ever seen.

@ThatGuyWithTheStuff Man Mustaine is an Animal. Him and Freidman don't get as much credit as they should. Yeah he's no Vai or Gilbert but He's above average I would say. He comes up with some great riffs and solo's, Look at Metallica's first 3 albums... Most of that Mustaine wrote, Kirk just passed it off as his. Kerry Kings not that good, but he has some good riffs i think. Not really into Slayer though. Not Tryin to be a dick, Just my $.02

I have good instincts about people, and I could tell Randy Rhoads mother was a genuine sweetheart. You can see where Randy inherited his smile and love for people. When people who knew Randy remembered him, their eyes shined with love for him. The Rhoads are those kind of people whose inner beauty is untainted by the world. The wonderful things said about Randy are true, they were spoken with deep love for his soul.

@bzaina2 Metallica was thrash for 2 and a half albums, which obv was Kill 'Em All, RTL and Master of Puppets had a few thrash songs, but yeah Metallica are 1 of the biggest names in history but they are second to Rhoads and in my opinion, Megadeth. God Bless You Randy

@JDilla2812 i must say just to get this off my chest. and i love randy with all my heart. randy wanted to leave ozzy and become a classical guitarist. but really he wasnt that good. he cant hold a flame to any of the classical guitarists. this song is too simple to be a good classical number. and mustaine is great. he single handedly wrote songs that made metallica famous and wrote songs that made megadeth popular and instantly gave metallica a run for their money. imo kirk sucks dave rules

Maybe not the best classical guitarist, but how he took the most simple things and expanded them into a masterpiece. Revelation/Mother Earth's guitar work is Godly.

I think (but who really knows) Randy wold have not necessarily have been a Classical Composer but rather incorporate classical influences in his own personal style. Like Yngwie, but... have it more aimed as classical with a hint of Rhoads, not Shred with a hint of Classical. IDK its hard to explain via YouTube lol but maybe you get what Im trying to say lol. Wow rereading that makes me sound like a Retard! best i could do explaining it
