  • I don't think Jennifer's too impressed with Clarissa's concoction this time?

But the shooter's sandwich looks delicious. I keep on meaning to try this sometime but just never get around to it. Great food to take on a picnic.

  • the same director that made jamie oliver

  • I own this episode on vhs

  • When I was a lil' tomboy I never wanted to cook (='d too girley for me lol) These ladies were such an inspiration... to this day everyone raves about my cooking! The few times I watched that show, I absolutely LOVED it!!!! : )

  • Y U NO SEASON MEAT BEFORE COOKING?!

  • @primate924 not everyone has to cook like gordon ramsey you dumb FUCK

  • @primate924 Because, as she points out, the salt/seasoning draws out the blood and other liquid, which would make the meat dry and tough.

  • i love these old girls but i must admit. meat left unrefrigerated for six hours?? i prefer to avoid foodborne illness!

  • @bluelikekrishna No guides died in the eating of that sandwich. :D The theory is if the meat isn't contaminated the salt and the searing should stop anything lethal from getting on. I'd prefer it warm, though.

  • @bluelikekrishna You can't do that with storeboughten meats... but with naturally raised meats from the farm (like we raise) I have left mine out for days and safely eaten whatever it may be with no harm to anyone. It's all about quality, mass produced unnatural foods can be very very dangerous! Once I learned about WAPF & Nourishing Traditions Cookbook I learned a lot about the healthy old time "foodie" ways and feel healthier because of it! : )

  • @bluelikekrishna if you use good quality meat, you shouldn't need to worry about "foodborne illness", though obviously it all depends on what kind of things you can afford/find.

  • @loggats Other guy is totally right to be suspicious. This is not a HACCP friendly process unless you can do it in a fridge or coolroom, or just compress it in like 1-2 hours. Quality of the meat has little to do with it and if it's bad before you cook it, you should probably throw it. If you do your best to be clean and avoid keeping leftovers, you'll probably get away with it, but if hygiene isn't a big thing for you, this is a good way to make people sick.

  • @MrAngy Of course you should keep a clean kitchen, and only use quality meat/foodstuffs. If you have a dirty kitchen and substandard food, what's the point.

  • "Look, black"...LoL...my mom and I love watching this show together :o)

  • I miss these gals :(

  • Try and get a first class piece of rump, I would say.

  • One of my favorite episodes. Thanks :o)
