That's why it's wiser to purchase it online directly via Japanese sites, the ones sold in the shop are already set along with the shipping cost, tax and some mark-ups meant for the seller's profit. Oddly enough, some of the Figuarts in certain local hobby shops at my country especially the reissued ones actually cost less than some of the ones you can find in HLJ. I saw one shop selling SHF Birth for just MYR90+ ($30+).

I'm rather surprised that you bought the Birth driver, although you did review the Birth Buster. But I gotta say scanner aside you definitely display a lot playability behind this toy, one of the reasons why I liked the DiEnd Driver as well. But I gotta agree it wasn't until Gotou I got behind Birth's concept.

A japanese gaiya memory gashapon eats aboyt 300-400 yen per try ... which is around 5 bucks :| but yes they have great stuff in there, and apart from the electronic stuff, other gashapons there only cost 100 yen, and there are flipping everywhere :D

@ConvoyGTR Its worth it, it has all the features without having to buy any other toys or medal sets. It's easier to find. It's less expensive. It's close to show accurate size. And the gimmick feels very satisfying. Also, as TJ mentioned, when Gotou used it, it became that much cooler.

I know it's non-canon (and I'm sure you've discovered it by now), but a nifty little secret with the Birth Driver is that right after you do the transformation, is that you can go straight to cell burst and it will use the white/gray LED. I personally like to think this is the way Birth can achieve a rider kick. :)

@mada223 any place you want but to let you know theres 2 era`s Showa for the 70`s through 80`s and heisei for modern day.....if you want a heisei era one it depends on your taste....for comedy i would pick double and den-o for seriousness i reccommend kabuto.....for both in a way i recoomend kiva. i would say stay away from Decade and hibiki Hbiki isnt really a rider series in production and decade well is basicly a what sould happen series

@mada223 Um maybe you can watch kamen rider kabuto. After the horrible ness of Hibiki the writers decided to go back to basics with bug motif armotr crazy ass plots and epic charecters. Everyone loves kabuto so if you want something like the showa era i really recommend kabuto. so if you ant to see the basics of kamen rider modernized try kabuto. if that isnt what you mean then ask again
