The MAJOR glitch with debt settlement is to have to STOP paying... and you are going to pay into an escrow fund with the settlement company for up to 3 years??! Name a creditor that will wait 3 years of non payment for a settlement. They are going to SUE you first.Remember the saying "If its too good to be true it probably is" If it really worked I would be the first in line. They never disclose that you have to pay taxes on forgiven amounts either. Wake up people.. Use your brain.
But its a long process on your own. I've had many battles and read many pages on forums about credit repair and doing it myself. It can be done, but it does require a whole lot of follow up to make sure they keep their word and not hose you once you settle(collectors).
I was struggling with this, but my friend recommended a company that did all the leg work for him, and all they charged me was $40/year.
1)go to a website called onbux. c o m/?rh=0b6eea2f314353aebc2af6dbcea5fe97 (remove spaces) or refer smokinacez
2)After your account has been made, click the ads, there will be 4 maybe 5 ads each worth .01$. 30 secs each
3)Once you make .75$( takes about 16-19 days) rent a referral. They are like people but not real, anyway they do click and you make about .10$ per day!
4) repeat till you get 500 referrals. then stop and make money
It does make sense to try to reduce your debt any way you can. And it's too bad that so many people are trying to make a quick buck off the people who need help rather than honestly providing that help.
This is a good start to the debt settlement conversation.
There are a lot of unscrupulous companies out there.
I used a company called Consumer Recovery Network that charged me $1150 to settle $130,000 of unsecured debt. It took 6 months and my final settlement amount was $40,000 or 28 cents on the dollar. Their fee of $1150 was minuscule compared to other companies whose fees were on average $10,000..or more!

with the economy DOA , forget about your credit , you won't need it and no one is going to give anyone credit going forward , see my video called default on your credit cards .Don't do the stupid thing and pay off your credit cards .
that's not such a good idea , if you got taken to court it wouldn't take 5 seconds to see what you did .... now taking the money and holding it in cash form OK ...

How about using most of the credit left and put it in a saving account before the credit card company lowers your available amount?
