Had to watch a couple more. What are the chances of just asking for a quick flight at a local Ultralight place? Are you allowed to hold passengers, or is there a special kind of training I would have to go through? These videos have got me itching for a flight.

@radarbrew Take a flight Radar. Ask as many questions you can think of. You would need at least a Sport Pilot's License to fly with a passenger. There is no license required to fly a legal ultralight, like mine.

That was a smooth landing. It was so smooth that it took me around 3 seconds to realize that the aircraft had touched the ground! Well done!

Isn't this a "microlight", thats what they are referred to as in Australia, Ultralights in Australia are basically a Cessna 150 but lighter than 544Kg. Anyway thats a pretty good landing since that Sabre would be knocked around alot in the wind.

Yep - it's an ultralight here in the States. The definitions are probably different down under. An ultralight in the States has to weigh under 254lbs and carry less than 5 gallons of fuel with one person.

Yep - that's an ultralight. I didn't want to do the Sport Pilot route. I didn't like all the regulations people would have to deal with for the type of flying that I do.
