@ThePsycheoutFanClub LOL yes there are many ways of getting the simple things in life done. I actually may buy a stand one day for my Green Screen as these mic booms don't go too high....but it works for sit-down interviews and such.
excuse me.i need hlp with my mic.i bought a mic stand and my microphone holle on the bottoms too big for the screw on the mic stand.the mic stands screw is kinda small.my mic 's screw it too big.makes it loose when i use it.what do i need to buy?
@maskedmillionaire I'm sure someone makes adapters....search ebay or online music stores. I don't know of any off the top of my head as I've never had to use an adapter.
@Vortigon yea true, it was my first production on this type of show. I may redo it at some point and shorten it up quite a bit giving it a 1 minute late night, high energy commercial type feel.
Pretty cool idea. My band has like a hundred microphone stands, so I can get two of them, I am sure. Maybe you will see me drumming on a beach or on Mount Everest one day. Cool idea.
Can I use this stand for my drum bass mic??

@hiphop4lifetillidie Mic stands come in 3 sizes when it comes to threads.
- 5/8″ 27 turns per inch (tpi) Unified Special thread (UNS, USA and the rest of the world)
- 1/4″ BSW (not common in the USA, used in the rest of the world)
- 3/8″ BSW (not common in the USA, used in the rest of the world)
You may need an adapter to get your mic clip to mount to your particular stand.

@SonicOrbStudios apparently the stand i bought on ebay is not US--it's not 5/8". any idea where i can buy an adaptor?

Great tip! but we didn't really need the whole history behind the idea - it's not THAT good an idea that we need more than 30 secs showing it.
