So many problems with the skit... I take it that the young man correctly identifying the painting is supposed to be the Christian while all others are the scientists. Trouble is that its actually the reverse. The one who identified the painting used logical arguments and deductive reasoning through investigation. This is how science operates. The others attempting to reach a consensus on the painting are not part of the scientific process and are attempting -c-

The signature idea is false to say the least because we don't have 1 analogous signature but rather hundreds of others, greek gods, roman gods, christian (which?) gods, Hinduism, etc.

You seem to consistently bring up science and atheism together, even though that is not the case. Just because Newton believed in god, does that mean he couldn't explain the world through Newtonian Mechanics? Those are still equations we use today, and that is a HUGE basis of many fields in science. Atheism and science aren't the same thing.

Almost without fail the arguments attributed to the "scientists" in this video are actually good representations of the views of creationists, while the views of the “creationists" in the video are clearly representative of the common positions of the supporters of science. Wow this is a really cool production, good effort on that part! Unfortunately the content is supersilious and just plan wrong. :) For a start, everything we see is created but just through "blindness" as is obvious in "bad design" (check it out) and, well, the substantial evidence for evolutionary processes. The signature idea is false to say the least because we don't have 1 analogous signature but rather hundreds of others, greek gods, roman gods, christian (which?) gods, Hinduism, etc.

The argument has being refuted many times before, fails to demonstrated the existents of a creator, and don’t address other possibilities like more than one creator, never the less, if you want to believe that the universe was created by a god, I couldn`t care less, but if you want dismiss scientific evidence to fit biblical creationism (I don’t know if this is your point) the video fails completely.

This video gets a 10 out of 10 on creativity, but that is the only positive thing that can be said. The positions and arguments being satired here were completely strawmaned, strawman beyond belief. Worse though is the premises. The worst being the premise that god has his signature on "creation". The entire argument in which you are jumping into is whether or not there is a signature on the painting. Another flawed premise is that if something exist it needs a designer, which is not true.

The world is not a painting. There's no signature on it. Even if it were painting, it's a crappy one - not up to God's ability. There's a mountain of evidence contradicting the existence of God and no tangible evidence supporting it, yet you act as if the opposite were true. You have no objectivity. The painting as analogy does not work for simple reasons: it's not a reasonable comparative to a life form. We know how paintings are created, we can do it or visit a painter. Can you visit your creator or call him on the phone?

Are you aware that the basic idea of this sketch actually supports materialism? The antagonists are clearly reminiscent of the religious dogmatics because they are claiming something without taking care to observe outside their biased notions. I know the point you were trying to get across was the "who" aspect, but you utterly failed. What matters is the observable evidence, not the opinions of anyone who wants to put their say in (i.e. creationists).

Of course, a signature doesn't mean everything. Rembrandt had the habit of signing his students' works, for one. And of course we can only say this has been painted by someone since we can compare it to other paintings, of which we know how they have been created.

Youre right. The first gives clear evidence to support his claim that its a Rembrandt which is how an Atheist or a scientific mind views the world.
The rest then claim otherwise without any evidence to support their claims at all which is how religion works.
Ironically the producer of this video is trying to imply that the first (who said its a Rembrandt) is the Christian and the rest are atheists but failed miserably.

All I know at this moment is that there seems to be a sheet filled with colours resembling a painting remarkably well that has a set of lines on it which are arranged in a similar way as the lines in signatures we attribute to Rembrant. If I make any assertions too strong let me know :p
Truth is, we don't know. Someone else could have painted it and asked Rembrant for a signature. The signature could be fraudulent. etc. etc.

- The Bible called the world a circle, because the Hebrew word for sphere and circle were the same word.
- I don't think there is anything wrong with the statement that "the sun and the moon are lights", of course the moon only reflects light, but it is still a light at night.
- google "evidence for snake with legs". You will find several articles that suggest that snakes at one time had legs.

I'm sure that what he meant by saying that science has overwhelming evidence is that by using the scientific method, you can accurately determine just about anything, and when God is evaluated with a standard of evidence, he fails to come through. @ANewMan17 You CLEARLY don't understand what science is as a whole. Science is the unbiased accumulation of data to support a given hypothesis. You seem to consistently bring up science and atheism together, even though that is not the case. Just because Newton believed in god, does that mean he couldn't explain the world through Newtonian Mechanics? Those are still equations we use today, and that is a HUGE basis of many fields in science. Atheism and science aren't the same thing.
