Wow... I was pretty sure it was real, until I saw the comments... That and Spock doesn't have pointy ears! :D But seriously, they did make a Star Trek in 1973. It apperently had only two seasons... Or one and a half, however you wanna look at it. Just found out and decided to look it up, finding this video first. Nice job! Now I shall return to looking up the real show... And hoping it's this awsome... ;)
@Whooligan866 Argh! :D I have officaly realized what IMDB wasn't telling me... It's an animated series. Oh well, same actors. :) Thought I'd put that in though, so as not to get everyone excited too much!
the opening titles are one thing (among a few) that give this away. it's damn-near impossible to make "aged" titles that blend in with the film convincingly.
Never mind Joe. RTFC (Read The F Comments); I remember now. Shat'd flip if he heard the "Space 1999" theme over this video clip. But I actually thought it was the original music. Oh and at 1:01 is Shat shown keeping his hoes skrate?
2 awesome 2B true. It was an obvious mistake to give up on the startrek TV franchise in the 70's and 80's. But I refure to believe that TJ Hooker could have been this awesome.
Those Jews in Hollywood just don't have this kind of vision.
(Sorry for the racist undertones, but it's true.)
I can't believe how badly Shatner dressed in the 70's LOL How ugly 70's fashion was!! At least Nimoy looked fashionable. This is a great piece of work--so funny and funky (there's a 70's word for you lol)<:')

Absolutely amazing! Star Trek has a crossover with Starsky and Hutch as wwwell as the Dukes of Hazard!

It seems my info was wrong about it being Barry gray (the album I got it from said it was!)
It's apparently Brian Dee, and is available on the album SHUT IT!, and the track is called 'Funko'

interesting. The irony, was , that Shatner did it anyway, with T.J. Hooker in the later years.

Quentin Tarantino should do this.
Great work.

It would wind up a tarintino remake of ST IV blended with pulp fiction. Entertaining to be sure, but rather pointless.
joness105639 3 years ago
True, it would be so bad ass though!
DEP717 3 years ago
Just imagine Uhura and kirk twisting at jack rabbit slims, or spock and mccoy going out on a hit.
joness105639 3 years ago 5
Oh yeah. 1970s McCoy would rock, and Uhura in Foxy Brown mode? That would be huge.

Let's be honest here. How hard could it be since Nimoy did make a similar thing (pilot of him being a detective)?

The version I used was called 'Deaths Other Domain' by Barry Gray.
It's on a CD of Space 1999 music a friend found for me.
