@pcampos88 Americans are often xenophobic. They fail to leagn about the culture, social norms and beauty standards of the countries of the world. In India for example a fair skinned person is more likely to be hired over a dark skinned person providing they have the same resume. For them having lighter skin literally means the difference eating or not eating. Of being able to provide for their families, of getting married, of being treated better for society as a whole.

The fact that there is a belief that someone's skin color makes them "better" or "worse" for a job, marriage, or anything else, is a problem. It's not just Asian cultures that have this problem... It is rare for a white person living in China to go tanning because they know the advantages their pale skin will give them in China. In America they will go tanning because it is to their advantage to look healthier, slimmer, can afford to go on exotic vacations and appear sexier. So the skin shade people go after has to to with circumstances.

Well they can make a tanning version of this advert, it could be a white person in an all black office and her solution to sucess is a can of spray of tan.I don't have anything against people who whiten or tan their skin its just personal preference, but I don't approve of people who think they are more superior because they have a certain type of skin colour.

I myself am a fair-skinned Indian... but I don't feel superior to others..

Infact I sometimes deteste my fair skin as I burn easily in the sun and my dark hair shows considerably..

They are a British company by the name of Unilver and they cater to regional markets. Look them up. Light skin is prevalent throughout Europe and America so tanning lotion is the things here.
