@TheDavidNinja SEGA did nothing wrong with the Sonic series until Sonic Colors. Calling them a black sheep only means you are the sheep. Real gamers appreciated Sonic's run through different gimmicks such as the Werehog and sword, as real fans of DMC don't mind a new continuity. Gamers need to stop being afraid or hateful of change and accept it. The better you do, the more fun you'll have with the games that come out. Not all changes are good, but many are.

Devil May Cry serie (original DMC 1, 2, 3 and 4) had amazing gameplay. And two cool characters called Dante and Vergil. And a niiiiiiiiiice although not so consistent story.
This made DMC serie deserv a seat next to other great games:
Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls, DOA 5, Ace Combat Horizon, Resident Evil, and many more.

- Devil trigger (demon form) has become White haired Super saiyan (DBZ cool, this is not)
- Tameem Antonies (leader of Ninja theory) is british and smokes. Ninja theory is a british company.

I added "and much more" i will say more in this post. Capcom sacrificed original Dante and serie to make a reboot. Even though many fans were happy with original series. The story of DMC series were weak/inconsistent, but Ninja theory were hired to make the story better. Instead they create a new story where Dante is half angel, half demon, where he is a Punk (Punk movement started in Britain) who has a british flag on his jacket sleeves.
This is Dante pre- DMC3 from what ive been told and why is the look of the character so important as long as he is still a badass half-demon i am willing to love and play the game because i unlike some am a true fan

Listen, I think I can explain what the deal is with this 'new' Dante. In Economics class, we learned about a Loss Leader, which is a product a company KNOWS is going to make them lose money, but it's going to attract NEW, DIFFERENT consumers. In most cases, a Loss Leader is set at too low a price to make a profit. In this case, the Loss Leader (DmC) is changed severely from the previous incarnation, meaning it'll lose potential buyers, but it will gain a shit load of new ones.
@OrkGameProductions I really don't understand why people argue over this change in the series. To me it looks actually pretty similar, and actually looks fun. But yeah Dante looks emo and not right and all the other things people say. Really, its experimentation. Maybe the game will be fantastic and you'll be proved wrong, or maybe the game will be terrible and you'll be right. Also, its an origin story, so they will explain why dante eventually gets the white hair and more reponsibility.

It appears that when Dante goes into Devil Trigger Mode his hair does in fact turn white. Now all the fan girls can relax, Dante is still Dante, he's just a little younger. But looking at this video, a lot of Dante's signature moves are still there. Looks like a fun game.

Instead of ruining Dante's image with a "origin story" why dont they do a DMC 5 about the dad, Sparda. That sounds more interesting because all we know is that he saved the human world but they should go more in depth.
it is a reboot guys, the story has changed. Dante's father is a demon and his mother is an angel in this story. Devil May Cry serie (original DMC 1, 2, 3 and 4) had amazing gameplay. And two cool characters called Dante and Vergil. And a niiiiiiiiiice although not so consistent story.
This made DMC serie deserv a seat next to other great games:
Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls, DOA 5, Ace Combat Horizon, Resident Evil, and many more.
This REBOOT called "DmC" is worst shit you can use your money on.

Mate it's up to you if you want to buy the game. I feel alienated because original Dante is no longer, original Vergil will most likely die too. I am alienated becausee MILLION STAB is nowhere to be seen.
I am pissed because:
- Devil trigger (demon form) has become White haired Super saiyan (DBZ cool, this is not)
- Tameem Antonies (leader of Ninja theory) is british and smokes. Ninja theory is a british company.
Dante has british flag on jacket sleeves, smokes and much more.

while seeing freaky shit but for the most part it looks solid, the moves look stylish theres an emphasis on looking good while fighting still which is the essence of devilmaycry- the original creator didnt make 3 or 4 and look how tht turned out. Once they keep the game about deep combat with an emphasis on style during the action then it can be called a devilmaycry game. And u gotta admit it looks a fk load better than DMC 2

I added "and much more" i will say more in this post. Capcom sacrificed original Dante and serie to make a reboot. Even though many fans were happy with original series. The story of DMC series were weak/inconsistent, but Ninja theory were hired to make the story better. Instead they create a new story where Dante is half angel, half demon, where he is a Punk (Punk movement started in Britain) who has a british flag on his jacket sleeves.
They killed Original series and Dante.

Okay, I get it. Everyone is scared that seeing as this is a new, revised version of Dante, with new looks and weaponry, they are scared that this won't be the same. Well to me, ninja theory did a BADASS job at recreating the over the top fighting. of DMC games of the past. Everyone needs.to just chill out and wait, this game will be as good as the first. ;)

Listen, I think I can explain what the deal is with this 'new' Dante. In Economics class, we learned about a Loss Leader, which is a product a company KNOWS is going to make them lose money, but it's going to attract NEW, DIFFERENT consumers. In most cases, a Loss Leader is set at too low a price to make a profit. In this case, the Loss Leader (DmC) is changed severely from the previous incarnation, meaning it'll lose potential buyers, but it will gain a shit load of new ones.

@OrkGameProductions I really don't understand why people argue over this change in the series. To me it looks actually pretty similar, and actually looks fun. But yeah Dante looks emo and not right and all the other things people say. Really, its experimentation. Maybe the game will be fantastic and you'll be proved wrong, or maybe the game will be terrible and you'll be right. Also, its an origin story, so they will explain why dante eventually gets the white hair and more reponsibility.

It appears that when Dante goes into Devil Trigger Mode his hair does in fact turn white. Now all the fan girls can relax, Dante is still Dante, he's just a little younger. But looking at this video, a lot of Dante's signature moves are still there. Looks like a fun game.

it is a reboot guys, the story has changed. Dante's father is a demon and his mother is an angel in this story. Also i find it amusing how people say "I won't buy this game" due to the fact that Dante changed or to be precise, it's not the actual Dante we're all used to playing, however it seems these idiots only play so they can jack off of his looks rather than playing it for it's fast paced hack n slash gameplay. Who cares if he looks different, it's the gameplay that counted and always will.

It is a bit of overkill but thats what makes it so fun, you never see this kind of shit in any game. I wish they'd make it more difficult though, like in Ninja Guidain...okay maybe not that hard but really it could use some touching up. Love the rest about all of the DmC games. Bad ass!
