  • Just one mistake in that translation: Fourest says integrist, not fundamentalist. Those 2 aren't the same concepts, integrism is the political, freedom killing instrumentalisation of religions, in an effort to mix the public sphere and religions as well as impose religious practices on others. Fundamentalism is a return to the a religion of the past, to it's traditions and "fundamentals". A fundamentalist isn't necessarily an integrist, although it often is.
