  • @MrBarbed That's normal. Different angles take some seriously good imagination and a lot of practice. I knew professional designers with degrees from big universities who challenged themselves to do different angles and often struggled to get it right.

  • whoa

  • THIS IS INCREDIBLE! i wish i could draw like you

  • @kaymo211 Yes I have, and it takes a lot of imagination and trial and error to get it right. But it's doable, even if you suck at drawing humans like I do.

  • wen i draw i dont use not a single line i just draw an if i use a refrence an see its going to be easy i put my own twist on picture wen i draw so its sorta like my own lil thing and ur pic is excellent man great job love it an too bad i dont have a camera to post my pictures

  • Now draw him from a different angle. Copying a picture takes time and dedication but not much skills or talent. People might applaud but a real artist looks at it and thinks "meh...".

  • copying a picture with the help from a grid or something like that is nothing special, anyone can do that, it doesnt require much skill or talent.

But I draw completely free handed and to get the results that I get - I know that takes a lot of talent and skill. I'm not being cocky, I'm usually very humble but i gotta to be honest to myself to be able to argue your statement because I think you're wrong.

I know several "real" artists who likes drawing portraits but are not on par with me.

  • @loaded88 Every work is a mix of skills and art. Art is creativity, it's what makes your work unique, and can't be learned. It's natural. Skills are instructions and formulas that you can learn from others.

Grids are in the skills category. You'll learn them at any art school. And it's ok to use them.

Art is what makes your work look different from every one else. When you draw from your imagination, or something from an angle never seen before, that's art.

    Hope that clears things up.

  • @loaded88 Oh by the way, my 16 year old sister was never even near what you can call an artist and she easily did a portrait of someone just like you did here.

I'm not trying to disappoint you. I'm telling you that you need to step your game up if you want to be an artist for real. If you're just fucking around and wasting time, be my guest. I draw much better than you even without reference pictures and I still don't have a snow-ball-chance-in-hell to make it. Now you do the math.

  • @wildbloodydragon Look, I think you've misjudged me a bit, I'm not struggling and wrecking my brains on how to be an artist and making a living out of it, I know that chance is microscopic and I'm fine with that.

I draw portraits from pictures simply because I like it, it's a hobby and I'm getting better at it with every new portrait I do so obviously I'm not "fucking around and wasting time"

  • @wildbloodydragon - I'm developing in that area, maybe you can compare my joker drawing to my new muhammad ali and if you dont see the large improvement then you will be the first one to comment on that and that's why your opinion doesn't matter to me

  • @loaded88 "and if you dont see the large improvement then you will be the first one to comment on that and that's why your opinion doesn't matter to me"

    This sentence makes no sense.

Sure, beauty of art is subjective, but abilities are easily distinguishable. So it's not entirely subjective. And believe it or not, being able to draw well is important for a lot of jobs. From animation to industrial design.

Looks like it's just a hobby to you, and that's great. It's a fun hobby, so have fun.

  • Why would I want to work my ass of trying to be a full time artist when pretty much anything can be called art these days, you can see a painting that looks a three year old made and the painting can be worth thousands of dollars just because the artist has made a name for himself, the appeal in art is mostly subjective, if not entirely.

  • @loaded88 u r quite amazing at what u do... i myself got a lot of help from this.... :)

  • T.T whaa i wish i could draw this good! that would take me a week and id mess it up completly -.- grr got to work harder ,,thank you! amazing drawing!

  • fuckin good drawning

  • Simply brilliant! See this is pure talent. And I know people don't think so because it's not "original". Well they can stuff it!! The fact that someone like you can pull this off is just amazing. I'm like you where I like drawing stuff i see to get a bases of, like a poster or something. It's just awesome to try and tackle something like that and pay homage to it. And you can learn from that as well to an extent and start applying it to other works of ideas that you come up with. Great job!!

  • @XXspiderhunter64

I agree with you about re drawing already done artwork. So what if you copy it? It helps improve your skills.

  • @GIfish7 Exactly! And to how he got the detail, some cant even come close to doing.

  • @XXspiderhunter64

Yes. I got really good with art just by copying when I was much younger.

I know some who try and try, but just aren't good with art. o.O

  • not gonnna lie. i thought it was an edited picture. but DAMN that's nicee ;D

  • have a question...

do u have to be born with drawing skills or u can still learn after 20 years

  • I think it's never too late to start learning. I guess some people are born with some kind of drawing skill, it comes natural for those people I feel that way about me, I dont struggle with drawing , somehow it comes easy to me atleast when it comes to drawing portraits. But it's true that the more you draw the better you get no matter how much or little experience you have.

  • Hi man great drawing love it . very talented thats true even people with no great drawing talent with practice get better i saw that at art college but you have to have natural ability to get really good ..same as most stuff in life i quess

  • thank you, yeah I agree with you :)

  • Your welcome just stick with it when i was young i should have kept my art up instead i ended up working doing something that i was not interested in.

now later in life im getting right into it again

  • This is one for the portfolio, honestly.

  • i like the subtle green tint in the hair

  • That has to be one of the best drawings of the joker I have ever seen, was it all done in pencil? I find it difficult to get good rich colours like the lips in that drawing. I'm not criticizing by the way :)

  • thank you!, really appreciate it :). Yes this was all done in pencil.

  • WHY SO GOOD?

    Hahaha!

  • You should really consider character design for movies and games. You would probably be one of the best out there.

  • I know that's exactly what I want to do, wow thanks! :)

  • simply amazing. ever thought about beeing a drawer?? beacause thats brilliant.

  • thanks again :), yeah i would like to be able to draw for a living some day in the future.

  • subbed!!

  • Woah thats like the best drawing ive ever scene wow wow wow lol excellent job keep it up!!

  • Omg..That was just amazing...You have alot of talent O-O

  • Wow you should try to become a Youtube Partner...your really good at entertaining and you have a lot of feedback from other peoples comments...Also the fact that your videos and drawings are amazing!!

  • thank you very much :), I dont know if I can, to be a youtube partner you must be the creator of all the content in the video.

  • that is fantastic brilliant world class!!

    ur the best at drawing

    5/5

plus ive added it on my favourites

  • wow, thank you very much!, appreciate it :)

  • Amazing. You should ebay these pictures, i bet you'd get a good bit of money for them. i would certainly bid high!

  • haha thanks again mate:)

  • looks just like it!

  • thanks, plz check out my latest drawing, it's a portrait of Gollum:)

  • nice drawing!

  • thanks!

  • actually, i was referring to 'romeocarlos' not believing you drew it and 'braadsucks' suggesting you traced it.

    nevermind....

  • oh ok, sorry my mistake:D thanks for the support

  • what's up with the skepticism?

    great drawing.

  • skepticism? no I'm very happy with this drawing, thanks:)

  • well.. people tell me Im a good drawer.. But I mostly draw 'Anime Style', and whenever I do realistic, it always takes me a looooooooooong time to do, and in the end I think its horrible... ^-^;;

  • well, people are good at different things, my style has always been to draw realistic, your style seem to be anime style then you should continue with what you do best:) but I'm sure there are some good tutorials on youtube to help you be better at realistic drawings.

  • Teach me! :D I want to draw masterpieces like you!

  • haha I wish I could but I'm not a teacher:D,but if you have decent drawing skills then it just basically all comes down to how much time and effort you are willing to put into one drawing, that's the way it works for me, I'm very patient and accurate with my drawings, they take a long time to finish but in the end it's all worth it:)

  • *Faints* such a beautiful transformation!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

I WANT YOUR DRAWING SKILLS!!!!! *5starz*

  • thank you!:)

  • thank you:)

  • brilliant! :) 5 stars

  • thanks:)

  • Sign the picture to prove its yours then put a video up :)

  • I usually sign my drawings I just didnt have the room to do it on the joker so I signed behind the paper, I dont know why you dont believe this is my drawing, I'm an honest guy and I put in insane amount of effort into this piece so it makes me very depressed when you claim that this is someone elses:(

  • Sorry Mate I Was Out Of Order, Its Just There Is Loads Of Joker Drawings And I Have Seen One Exactly Like This

  • Im guessing it's tracing or just your VERY talented.

  • it's not tracing, I have the reference picture on my laptop and my sketchbook beside it and I portrait the picture just by my eye-hand coordination
