i guess the ad just shows that you might as well be the only one in the group of 12-year-old boys to wear a parka because you'll likely have your mother stalk you in her mini-van WITH your coat....and give a big display of affection!
When I saw this years ago I diddn't understand why they were laughing at him because of that. But I still think that it really couldn't be THAT emberassing to have your mom hand you your coat.
Also, growing up I used to think this commercial was about how it wasn't easy being the one person whose mother runs up to them and embarrasses them. Heh.
I'm pretty sure the point of this message was to point out that it's not easy being a boy. BOY (it's not easy being one).
I think this was meant to show mothers that public displays of affection and over-protectiveness in front of your son's friends is humiliating and that things like that don't go over well with their friends. If the father had come along to bring the jacket, he likely would NOT have done it in that way. Maybe he would've said "you forgot this at home" and tossed it to him.
i remember this

Oh, THAT'S what it was? I always thought it was to wear your jacket even though your friends weren't. I always felt sorry for the poor kid though.

Has anyone seen the TV one - where the TV takes to you - I didn't get it. Was it saying I should watch more TV or go play outside

Seriously though, I don't get this one or the knock on wood one.

oh my god. This privileged white childs mom loves him. That's rough.
brody84 4 years ago 5
I don't think this one, by itself, has any message. It's meant to show that CCA "understands" kids.
