I wish...lol My old house is worth about 350 thousand and the new 700 thousand. I would have a castle (no pun intended if I spent 1.7 mill. lol

Well because of the whole Recession thing and the pound changing in comparrison to the dollor, I dunno how much $700,000 is. =p

I'd say, before the recession, A house like that could be around....£400,000, maybe more depending on where it is and the land and everything, you know.

US prices are lower for suuure, and British houses are tiny. I think we have the smallest average squared footage in Europe per house!
