Unfortunately, the producers HAD to make billy costa change places with tony makaroes who's deamon was named ratter. also, Tony Markaroes died a few hours after Lyra found him, and no such thing happened to Billy in the movie. Also, Wen Billy is talking at 6:10, he doesn't realize that he is holding his own deamon. Also, Lyra never told Roger that she had seen billy in this film. It this movie had been rated PG-13, we would've seen ALL the dying parts, and epic scenes. Too bad

They are not going to make the subtle knife a movie because in the golden compass film, when Lord Asriel showed the sample of pictures he had brought from Svalbard, there was no Mention of Grumman, who as Lord Asriel presented, was dead, but in reality, he's alive and is will's father. The whole point of will's adventure was to find his father. Plus, we only get a glimpse of Lord Boreal in TGC, and he was never shown at Mrs. coulte cocktail party, but is the main antagonist of book 2.

I read every day and I've read TONS of books. By the time you have finished the second book, and then the third, I guarantee you will love them. The story is SO much better in the books... This movie doesn't hold a candle to the books.

Book 3 "Amber Spyglass" is probably the best single book I've ever read.
