These fish make great pets! I live in the Florida Keys and they were doing this at the beach down from my house. I caught one with a casting (throwing) net. I put it in the bath tub and dumped a bunch of salt in the water. At first it was screeching like it was pissed off, but then I fed it canned tuna fish, and it was really happy. It flapped it's tail just like a dog wags it's tail. It loves tuna!!! I bought it a swimming pool at wal mart. Now I can watch it swim around. It is really cool!

The habitat they live in is regardless.

A group of unethical biologists conspired and disseminated untrue information about these creatures. Their thinking was that if people recognized them as mammals, and more closely related to humans, they would be outraged by their killing. The truth of the matter is that they are fish. Now you know.

This is normal. Baitfish will try to find cover, and predators always are close behind. Their cover in this case is (obviously) the shallow water. Lots of gamefish can be caught very close to shore, or near rocks or other structure because of what you see going on in this video.
