The practice is so popular that travel agents offer birth tourism vacation packages so that the newborns of foreign mothers can become U.S. citizens. Obviously, this outlandish practice must stop.

Notice that Americans born abroad to American parents are American. Now why would Americans born abroad to American parents be American, but aliens born in the US are also Americans? The Founding Fathers didn't write the 14th Amendment, and the loophole for anchor babies isn't in the 14th Amendment, it's in the court ruling which came much later.

The practice is so popular that travel agents offer birth tourism vacation packages so that the newborns of foreign mothers can become U.S. citizens. Obviously, this outlandish practice must stop.

Deport illegal aliens. The anchor baby loophole is just that, a loophole. The 14th amendment was never intended to give citizenship to the children of illegal alies, or aliens at all. Notice that Americans born abroad to American parents are American. Now why would Americans born abroad to American parents be American, but aliens born in the US are also Americans? It doesn't make sense. Moreover, it's contrary to the will of the people.

@darksungeo Sometimes I think social service departments should keep second generation hispanics in America under the microscope seeing as they are the ones who tend to generate problems in their household and nieghborhoods. Being Mexican myself I can honestly say many Mexican parents I know are very abusive towards their children, but what do you expect when typically Mexican females have pregnancies at young ages.

If Mexicans are suffering human right conditions and poverty..they need to apply for American political assylum like any other Latin American does....what makes mexicans better then colombians? or Ethiopians? Space and resources are limited in America and everyone deserves a fair chance...my cousin his here LEGALLY with granted political asylum cause he and his children were threatened in colombia...so he is now a resident LEGALLY!!!he deserves it...haveing a baby forcefully?they dont...

It needs to be made illegal because it encourages mexicans to submit their babies to abuse and poverty..because the mother can not work properly without education or speaking english..so the baby is forced to resort to welfare...this is wrong. It is irresponsible and it is abuse of children. Mexicans need to solve their social issues IN mexico so that these people aren't forced to move in the harshest conditions and have babies irresponsibly

This is more the reason why the 14th admendment should be ratified. The american ppl are tired of guilt trips and other BS that being put out there. If you are a responsible person, why would you have children in a country that YOU are not a legal citizen of, although the child is? It seems to me that a person would be thinking about the fact that we may be separated. Also, no entitlements should go to someone who is illegally here and have children.
