the furry critters are amazing i had mine rfor about a year .so when i got him i asked how to clean him and if i could get him wet or wash in i heard that they can get wet tail and now i just use a powder sampoo and it works great i just don't want to hurt him or any thing
ummm i dont think you should put your guinea pig under the sink it is verry scary for them. i say put a small bath towel in the bath tub and fill the bath tub up to the end of your finger nail the sound of the water on the scares them a hole bunch.......just saying
I'm getting a piggy soon, and it's my first time. Yes i have a dog, but shes very laid back, and she wont even harm a fly. Im thinking of getting a textle or those long haired piggys. How should i tame it? Im 12. But i have patience and i will let it calm down, and get used to everything. What should i feed it? How long do they live? And what cage would you suggest, because i would want something that would give my piggy alot of room. Thanks.
I nearly flipped when you shoved it underneath the sink water. Then I saw he didn't mind it and it's just like a shower. So. I kinda slapped myself. (mentally)
Question : my gym coach is giving me her guinea pig tonight and she said that Martina (the guinea pig) Hates bathes and being cold. But my mamma said I have to so she doesn't stink up the house.
@kassidyrose777 If you bathe your guinea pig every week, their skin will be stripped of natural oils. Please don't give out false information on my videos.
Ok so every guinea pig has mites living in their fur and they live peacefully until the guinea pig's body chemistry changes, then they attack and irritate the gp's skin. A way to tip the balance of your gp's chemistry is to bathe them too often. I made this mistake and my gp got mites but now he's all better, what I'm saying is to not bathe them too often
@mollyrexy Like I said, only bathe them when necessary (which is usually every 3 months). Only young guinea pigs have mites living in their fur. Usually when they are 4 years old they go through a senior stage and their bodies release hormones that kill bacteria.
my guinea pig loves to bite and lick my fingers when he's hungry

@GunieaPigXoXo It could hurt their eyes especially if you get soap in them.. Also you could get water in their ears.

What if your guinea pig is 3 months but she's really small, should I still bathe her?
doodrop4547 1 year ago
@doodrop4547 Females are usually smaller so you should probably wait until 4 months just to let her immune system build more.
