Charmingpixiflora, I have a very Sacred meaningful set of Roseary beads my husband of 20 yrs, bought me 10 yrs ago. I have done over the 10 yrs plenty of Hail Marys ,.well now without complete abandonement I am a full blown witch,.I have no judgement of the hail mary prayers as I have had wonderful results over the yrs learning now my own manifestation being a huge reason, but would it be disrespectful to try use these beads for my beautiful pagan prayers? Anyone?
@TheDaggmaster I don't see anything wrong with that! If you feel rather guilty about it, just meditate while holding the rosary in your hands - search around for an answer from deep within yourself, think of what Jesus may think about you using it for. If that doesn't work, you should watch the documentary on here called The Hidden Jesus. :D
wow, i learned 2 things today, 1: that i dont have to say the entire prayer "Om Mahalakshmyai cha vidmahe, Vishnu patnyai cha dhimahi, Tanno Lakshmihi prachodayat"; and 2: that i have mala beads lol i got this bracelet from my friend, and i now learned that theyre actually mala beads lol thanks :) this has been helpful :D
[btw: the prayer is for lakshmi to help in acquiring wealth, status, greatness, and fame. but i might say the prayer the way its supposed to be]
thanks for posting this vid! i have been trying to make mala beads for Bast, but i have had no idea where to start as i have lost my only pagan prayer bead book, so this all works out :)
Such a great video! Quite a few months ago I discovered my pull towards Ganesh and Green Tara which sparked an interest in prayer beads. I've been saying the mantras in Sanskrit, but as you said, they sound beautiful, but there's no meaning in them for me. Thanks for making feel okay about saying my own words. This video means a lot to me because I'm having trouble incorporating Ganesh & Green Tara into my Wiccan practice. I don't want to disrespect the Hindu or Buddhist community. Thanks!
I know exactly what you mean about getting back into that energy shift. I went a couple of weeks without saying my affirmations, because I was on break and got too lazy, so once I got back to school it was just insanely stressful. I got back into my routine, and exactly like you said, the next day I felt immensely better. :)
Also I have to agree about fighting against the Universe or going against the grain is Useless period. You need to rely on the Universe..requires faith alot of it!
This was awesome! YAY! Funny story: friend took my mala bead bracelet because he thought it was cute. He didn't know I prayed to Ganesh every day with it. He wore it one day and scored his job interview and found $20 all in the same day!
Great video. I look so forward to all you post. I am going out to get some mala beads. I have had a call for almost a year to use them and not sure how to. Now it is all fitting into place. Thank you so much.
I tried reading rosary once. As I didn't know the entire rosary (before getting page with all the prays), I said Hail Mary for each bead. One day at bus I suddenly got so bad feeling about it I stopped immediatly. I haven't read them since. What do you think it might of mean? I love prayer beads and have different kinds at home, but I don't feel home with them at all.
Thank you for posting videos, I really like how you explain things because sometimes when I read or hear them from others it sounds like such a difficult thing but once I see a video that you've posted on the subject I think oh that is what they meant.
This is why I love your videos! Everything around us is in a constant state of flux. We all need to allow ourselves to change. When we lock ourselves into a predetermined routine of life or worship we become stagnant and out of touch with life and the world around us. I guess that's why eclectic spirituality feels more comfortable to me. I have always gravitated away from organized religion, it doesn't allow for critical thinking or the opened mind. Thank you for sharing your opinion!
Very inspiring! This has been something I wanted to try but never actually looked into it enough. I can't wait to make my own! Thank you so much for the awesome video! <3
I was just wondering about this today! I have been searching through on-line shops looking them over and I can't beleive how many different ones there are! Thank you for clearing a few things up for me!
I would just love some mala beads! There are some gorgeous ones out there! Great video Flora!!! I LOVE these kind of videos! Lots of Love & Light to you!! X

@Severinawitchy1 Yes, if you want to, or you can say something different for each bead. Go with what feels right for you. : )

Don't forget about about cord knots for rosaries and prayer beads,
My favorite prayer beads are made of cord.
I originally mad it as a rosary, but I grew up protestant so crucifixes still weird me out.
Mine has 35 knots and four our fathers (made out of the broken cords from old necklaces)
Awesome video btw!
peace be with you,
Evan

My favourite affirmation:
"My existence is life saving"
Meaning: if you didn't exist, you would be stoping thousands of life's from living (think about it...;D)
What it's done for me...: Stoped me from suicide...now I love each and everyday:D xx
